Any folks who bought the 5% gap up on the open took the obvious risk the stock would trade down to fill the gap.
And any folks who short the gap up took the risk the gap would not fill. That's obviously why it is called trading and not money printing. Anyway most retail investors are probably not even aware there is such a thing called a gap, or if they are don't give it a second thought. Buy, buy, buy is all they know, know, know.
Lol... I don't know what drives you most when talking about TSLA... Lack of good will or just bad faith... In after/before mkt TSLA was up 4.82%, opening at 891. At close today TSLA will be up +3.5% from previous day's close. But if you specifically bought at open and sell at today's close, assuming 881 (it's at 883 as I write this) you're down 1.12%. And your assessment is to call it a loss day on account of Musk selling shares?
No that would be you. Funny how the share price is considered holding steady @ #6 Today at 11:04 AM While being down -16.18 -1.82% Again where price is trading t o d a y. Simple math. It came back 3/4 or more off the LOD which is a good thing for those long from HOD and those long from gap up on Aug 4th $58 dollars even higher. Maybe new bull market (if that is what is underway) will bail them out too. Or not. Anyway if any of this reality upsets you stay over on your topic. I left it for that very reason, you don't like any trading talk, just brainless buy and hodlers fanboi stuff.
Wrong, I'm 50/50 investor and trader of TSLA. I only buy/sell shares, no options, and I don't short the stock. No worries, no FOMO here. Today's market closed at 883, up 3.89%. Depending on how you day traded, this would have been an good day +3.89% or a relatively insignificant loss-0.9%. TODAY.
I know which move I'd rather trade (the one that is -4.63% not 3.89%, open to LOD. Fastest and largest move:-
You are very welcome, God bless your little heart! I mean we could talk about the weather, but current, stock related events are more interesting, if you catch my drift. Just to keep you completely updated, how about this news item?: https://nader.org/2022/08/10/statement-by-ralph-nader-on-tesla-full-self-driving-fsd-technology/ "This nation should not allow this malfunctioning software which Tesla itself warns may do the “wrong thing at the worst time” on the same streets where children walk to school. Together we need to send an urgent message to the casualty-minded regulators that Americans must not be test dummies for a powerful, high-profile corporation and its celebrity CEO. No one is above the laws of manslaughter."
