Yes, I have used alias's in the past when I have been banned by this site. However, I have not used any aliases for quite some time and will never again. With that said, Are you afraid to put yer money where you mouth is? surf
I believe you are NOT "themagician" FWIW. That guy used to go by Ocean5 and was a really fucking weird character with a poor grasp of English and other serious mental issues. You and I don't see eye to eye on trading but I'm convinced you are not that whackjob magician character.
You are correct, I am not anyone other than marketsurfer on this site. I haven't used an alias in years and never in concert with marketsurfer -- only when there was something important to say and surfer was banned---- There is no point or facts behind these allegations of "sock puppets" thanks! surf PS-- are you 100% certain I don't know you off this site?
There's a real life ! That is a scary thought, I can imagine the bar in my head. In general forums are suspicious. It gets to the point where the higher on a horse you are the more you are doubted. People also have become more suspicious. Contradictory ideas turn them off. There is always hope with newbies, but you may just be in a sock drawer. So newbie's are suspicious. How far can you really go? At times I try to imagine what the true number of people on here are after counting a handful the rest could be duplicates. I dont know anything about the owner, But sometimes it is not interest to fix something that really isn't broken. Fixing on its own has huge costs. I remember the site change frustrated me and i stopped my self from posting. I am not saying the attempt was not a good one. But we may have lost a few people. Fixing usually starts with destroying. Is there really a solution ? closing Forex threads is far from a solution. The bottom line is that people come here with a need, I kinda wish I had a forum right now but the tools needed for me would be too great. In a changing world I find the forums are best placed to be the next big thing. Pioneering generally has bad risk to reward ratios. Crowds move around, I don't really care to follow, where every they go its all the same just more of it.
Im not sure how long its been like this but i remember when I first begun I right away got a weird taste. The same thing that pulls one in pushes one away, In such a scenario it takes time for the numbers to be understood. and even when they are seen one needs some trial and error to get other numbers to cross reference with. The data is slow as each trials numbers only comes in when an individual becomes inactive. Elite trader is kind of iconic for me, the font of the logo is perfect, it stays the same, I like to think it will prevail.
Getting back on topic, I am hearing that old data has been removed. I have nothing against it, but I am wondering what data was removed. Was it random threads, random posts, everything before a certain date ? Or will it not be explained ? I assume it had to do with the changes, so i ask not why it was removed but what ? I think this actually is a good step
