I don't agree. I think that time is irrelevant. The trend is the only relevant thing. If you have a 5 minute clear trend you can make good money, if you have 2 hours that prices jump trendless in every possible direction you cannot make any money at all. So the behavior of the price is important not the lenght of time you have to trade.
Today I see that this is the most important thing in trading... "The trend is the only relevant thing"... And, as I´ve been told before in this website ( and today I see this clearly), this is the main problem for most people: they simply don´t know what a trend is... Those who have a correct definition of "trend" stand a chance of making money trading, those who don´t, don´t.
Exactly, and as they don't know what it is they say it does not exist. But I do understand these people: something that they don't know, does indeed not exist..... for them. Today I saw 5 times a trend, and 5 times you could make good money. Probably many people didn't see anything at all. Or they saw it in hindsight.
Sounds like you're ready to start a webinar/course and perhaps book offering with your trend-observation skills.
Apparently if somebody has an opinion or makes a statement he is considered as a sneaky person trying to sell something. Only if you post losses or horrible things you are accepted apparently and people assume that you don't have a hidden agenda. I have no intension to sell anything at all, because that would ruin my own profits. Why would I sell something that makes me good money? Why create competition for myself? I only trade my own money and refused already many proposals, also from people who post on ET. I don't need nobody's money. If you find any posting from me where I want to sell anything, you can post it here and I will give you 1000$ for each posting you find. My name is not Markertsurfer or..... Speaking about selling: If the price is right, everybody would sell anything, even if he never had the intention to sell. But in my case that price would be way to high for any ET member. So I don't waste my time trying to sell something that I don't want to sell, to people who don't have the money to buy it. Now it is up to you to dig thru all my postings for offers to sell.... Maybe you can make some money from that. About that course: you are too late. I started already a course. It was for free and reserved for 2 of my children who are interested in trading.
Spikes on short term charts can result in substantial loss to trading capital, on longer term charts those spikes are small blips. Short term chart generally attracts small stops, that's what I was referring to. It's harder to manipulate longer time frames, without getting into specifics, that is all I meant.
