Elise Stefanik - Man of the Year 2020

  1. Except that the balance of power in both the house and senate is tighter than a bull's arse as flyswatting time. Just getting numbers over the top allows one party to take control of most things in DC. A couple more rinos in the senate would make a world of different even if the rinos when viewed standalone are repugnant.

Elise can bring in more republican voters than Liz. Many more. And she is actively working against trump voters. whereas Elise is a rhino in some areas but actively working for Trump voters. So there is that. You know, one votes to impeach trump and the other does not type of thing.

Cheney's problem is that she will not shut up. The party allowed her room to have her independent opinion and did not censure here or anything but they also want her to just shut up and make things about the future now and stop running the mouth off about Trump. She won't do it. Fine. Let the games begin or should that be stop.

  2. Looks like Liz Cheney's hemorrhoidectomy is scheduled for next Wednesday.

Y'all know that's gonna hurt. Maybe her new buddy and soul mate Mitt Romney can kiss her boo-boo and make it all better.

In regard to the bottom-most link, I do not know, obviously, if that is true or not. It's for Cheney to deal with, not me. Could be some pubs who are trying to throw gasoline on the fire before the vote. Then again, could be 100% true. Schedule the vote, and let er rip. Give her full, full, full hearing on any area where she wants to be heard. Then take her down.

House Republicans schedule vote to oust Liz Cheney

The vote to determine House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney’s fate in leadership is scheduled for Wednesday morning — after months of the No. 3 GOP member being at war with her own party.

Liz Cheney bombshell: Pal says on-the-outs GOP leader planned anti-Trump op-ed by 10 defense secretaries
House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) — who is facing possible ouster from her leadership position next week — quietly orchestrated a Washington Post op-ed by 10 living former defense secretaries cautioning that then-President Trump might attempt to politicize the military, according to a report.

Th op-ed, published three days before the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, was signed by Trump’s former Defense Secretary James Mattis, as well as Cheney’s father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, and fellow ex-Pentgagon chiefs Ashton Carter, William Cohen, Mark Esper, Robert Gates, Chuck Hagel, Leon Panetta, William Perry and Donald Rumsfeld.

“’She was the one who generated it, because she was so worried about what Trump might do,’ Eric Edelman, a friend of Cheney’s and former adviser to her father, told the New Yorker. “It speaks to the degree that she was concerned about the threat to our democracy that Trump represented.”

  5. Yup, she definitely is not the one that you Democrats want to see replace Cheney and out there working the states at midterms.

Oh how you suddenly love Liz Cheney and wish that she would still be there talking every day about how Trump should be impeached and, in fact, did in fact vote to impeach him. Sorry bout that. The toilet bowl is going to be flushed and down, down, down the aforementioned turd will go.

Also, to state the obvious, it is not necessarily disingenuous for a politician to support a president on some issues and not on others. Even though the video attempted but failed to show her flip flopping. Most republicans have substantial issues with Trump even if they support him. All of them had to deal with that Access Hollywood crap for example, and you caught Elise on tape speaking against Trump on that. Not exactly a problem.

Contrast this with Joe, where he got elected but people like Kamala directed flip flopped on him. She stood with Tara Read and said she believed her over Joe and she condemned Joe as being a racist for his busing programs and for incarcerating a whole generation of blacks. Then she flat out flip flopped and said "it was a campaign."

Sorry but Elise is coming and she is going to bring some moderate and dem votes with her for the party at midterms.

You keep posting that Lincoln Project shiite. I thought the guys who were working on that scam were in prison because of their pecker problems and embezzling.

  6. Good news for Liz Cheney: This reporter actually found some people in Wyoming that are still supporting her and say they absolutely will vote for her in the next election.

The bad news is that they are Democrats and actually, my bad, it was just one person.

    WOMP.....womp......womp.

  8. You quoted Salon earlier.

    Now, Mother Jones.

You are now a certified soy-boy. I had hoped to see you avoid that even though it has been coming for a while.

  10. Yep. She is not all that conservative. The goal is to move Cheney out.
If someone else comes into the mix, let the vote fall where it falls.

The lefties are scared of Elise though. They/you are having fun pointing out that there are issues with her not being conservative on all issues, or as conservative as trumpsters anyway. Except y'all know that works in her favor out there hustling in the purple states at midterms.
