Covered futures at a gain of 130. I am likely up 500K on vol, but it’s two hours to the open. I think this will hold through Monday. We will see.

 

you reckon this is a "sell every rally" event (noticed you were holding index plays only)? I'm up nicely so far....though worry about the weekend corona numbers and rumblings of banning interstate flights & state quarantines

 

Impossible to know. The weekend news is so dire that a lack of any major disruption will be bullish.

And to the 1st question? I just don't see how this market stays in a positive trend after the carnage....would expect some side movement before it would pick up again

 

Agreed. Nobody knows. Have we reached the apex of the shutdowns? I can’t imagine we have. Impossible to pick the bottom outside of blind luck. There is zero historical analog to go by with this shit.

This will result in at least a quarter of negative GDP regardless of what the govt reports.

I imagine the US will have to quarantine eventually, at least some major cities. That will probably cause another selloff.

There's also a non-zero chance that Trump gets the coronavirus...
