Election results: Nothing will change

  1. That can happen Bob when we have real choices and that will never happen until there are more than 2 parties to choose from.

There are capitalists and there are socialists. What else is needed there?

Wrong. All the 2-party nominees are socialist/crony-capitalist hybrids. They just differ on how far they are along the socialist or crony capitalist spectrum.

I had hope in Romney but he became a paradox. When you market a wrong agenda then do not expect votes. His agenda was anti middleclass with heartless traits.

So now who will save America? Sir Obama should give his every effort and rest would be the destiny in drive. :D

  7. If you are smart enough and listening to the various comments made over the last 2 months from the Fed, Bernake specifcally, Merkel in Germany, and Draghi last night they all basically agree.

There will be no economic recovery regardless of who is president for at least 3 years.

Were you watching when Bubble Ben said about 6 weeks ago no rate increase until 2015 because of slow growth= no economic recovery until at least 2015.

Merkel the other day said the EU will be a mess for at least 4 more years.

The only exception would be if we had a real choice of candidates which we don't so nothing will change for at least several years based on what those in the know have said.

    Welcome to the new norm.

And you're being optimistic, assuming there will be an eventual recovery. This quote from the 1800s doesn't leave much room for optimism:

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years.”

  10. Unfortunately you are probably right since history almost always repeats itself.
