"IF" we had a real free market, the bond market would not let them get away with it. But the Fed will keep rates at zero. The bond market is the only arm strong enough to fight off the debasers. Bonds going vertical tonight, rates plummeting to zero. The debasers will win. Funny how Ricter talks about the plutocrats. It's the debasers on the left that are enriching the plutocrats. We will have a society of the 1% who are asset rich and the other 99% who will be paper rich and not worth a dime. What a beautiful society that will be.

  3. Mav, freedom in all its forms has been eroding since the new deal. obama was right at his convention when he said "YOU made this possible, you made me possible" to the 'American' people. We have collectively permitted this nation to crumble by not holding our leadership responsible. We have allowed the govt to break the Constitution, we have allowed corruption to fester, and we have accepted the govt's encroachments on our birthrights like good little servants. We aren't doomed yet but a fight looms in our future, it certainly has potential to get violent.. i for one, am not going anywhere.

It will be a society where the lucky born will be in charge of everything, by virtue of their money. That's what you wanted, right? Anything else is "redistribution".

  10. Yes, you've summed it up very well. Somehow the "left" backed their way into the corner of the plutocrats with all of this self-rationalizing that there was a "greater good" towards debasing the currency and boosting asset prices.

The society you speak of sounds very much like a few countries in South America...or South Africa for that matter..the rich employing privately armed security forces with rampant crime and almost no middle class.
