Election - Market Reaction

  1. Obama wins and massive selloff...McCain wins and massive rally...if Obama wins, America will wake up and say "what in the world have we done"...take your vote very serious on Tuesday...remember forget being in "vogue" by voting for Obama...think from your head and vote for the only candidate with experience...John McCain...

  2. An Obama win is in the market. That's why we imploded last month. The over-under on Senate seats is 59. If the Dem's take the Senate with 60 we break hard.

I'm with increasenow. Also, an Obama win would probably mean full Democrat control of all houses!

  4. yea probably had nothing to do with the looming global financial crisis/credit freeze, banks failing, hedge fund blowups, margin calls, forced liquidations, rising unemployment, bad earnings etc...

  5. It is simply NOT possible for any decent human being (read not a republican) to produce the same results that "W" did. Obama cannot make it any worse.

With John McCain there is an existential threat of a nuclear war with his temper. Saying "that one" (or worse) would not go over well in a meeting with Sarkozy or Medvedev.

  6. This thread belongs in politics and religion

anyway the futres are surging yet again, which most likely means monday will be yet another up day. The market could care less who wins at this point. It is entirely autonomous.

  7. I think an Obama victory is already priced in.

An Israel bombing Iran scenario after the Obama victory and before Bush leaves office is not priced in yet.

Israel has a friend in G. Bush. If Obama wins, I think Israel will try to take out Iran before the end of November.

Is this what Joe Biden was hinting about, that Obama will be tested in the foreign policy arena in his first six months. According to Bill O'Reilly, there were talks going on between the USA, Israel and Russia and Iran to try to smooth things over.

Who knows what will happen, but if this event surprises the financial markets, which way will the markets go - up or down?

  8. Obama will be tested.... guaranteed.

McCain would not be tested, the world already knows what his reaction would be. No one will f#ck with McCain.

  9. Yes and Israel will be allowed to Strike at Iran and destabilize a highly volatile region even further... Israel depends largely on US goodwill (financially and militarily and otherwise) Israel won't do squat against iran and neither will US.
