A simple breakdown of why Trump's new tariffs would instantly increase inflation and be awful for American consumers. 3 charts that help explain how Trump’s tariffs would work https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/13/politics/donald-trump-tariffs/index.html
Three weeks until Election Day… It’s going to be tiiiiiiiiiight. Trump must win Pennsylvania. If doesn’t he can’t win. The southwest is strong for him. Shrinking the swing states from 7 to 5. Harris doesn’t technically need Pennsylvania. She can run an inside straight of Wisconsin, Nevada and North Carolina and win. Polling is virtually useless at this point because it’s so close. People prognosticating over 3 point swings when it’s just regular polling noise is crazy. I will be watching if republicans cut the mail in ballot and early voting leads Dems ran up in 2020 for now. Also where Harris is campaigning. Another note, Vance has turned himself into a pretty good surrogate for Trump. Whereas Walz doesn’t command the same gravitas. I bet Harris is thinking Shapiro naught have been a better choice at this moment. Months have now turned into weeks. We will be in it soon enough.
Jill Stein's Chances of Blocking Kamala Harris Win in Key Swing States Published Oct 13, 2024 at 11:27 AM EDT While Green Party candidate Jill Stein is unlikely to win the presidency, her support in key "Blue Wall" battleground states could be decisive, with razor-thin margins between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, according to polls. Stein, who is on the ballot in key swing states, including Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, has drawn criticism from Democrats in recent weeks as the race tightens, amid claims she is giving Trump, the GOP nominee, an edge. On Friday, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) released a new ad titled "Crucial," targeting voters in those three states and accusing Stein of siphoning support from Harris, the Democratic nominee. The ad shows Stein's face morphing into Trump's, with the message: "A vote for Stein is really a vote for Trump." The ad also features a video segment of Trump speaking at a June campaign rally in Philadelphia, saying: "Jill Stein, I like her very much. You know why? She takes 100 percent from them [Democrats]." Stein's campaign spokesperson previously told Newsweek in an email, "The notion that Democrats and Republicans own everyone's votes and that Greens supposedly 'take' votes from the political establishment is preposterous. No candidate owns your vote, they have to earn your vote."
It won't be tight all.Harris needs to be where Biden was in 2020 for it to be tight, she's not even close.
The polling models are different this cycle. The majority have “corrected” for a Republican error by lessening the recall weighting in models. Theoretically, Harris needs to be at about +2.4 nationally to overcome the Republican electoral college advantage this year. However, democrats have been running ahead of the polls in the previous midterms and special elections post repeal of Roe.
They said the polling was corrected in 2020 after 2016,Trump than outperformed the polls more than he did in 2016. https://katu.com/news/local/changes...g-more-accurate-in-2020-political-experts-say Changes are underway to make polling more accurate in 2020, political experts say by Megan Allison, KATU Staff Fri, October 9th 2020 at 9:37 PM Updated Sat, October 10th 2020 at 11:40 PM Since 1976 no Democrat has won the presidency without winning the popular vote by at least +4 points, you think someone as unpopular as Harris coming after the horrendous Biden presidency has the chance of winning the popular vote by +4 points? The way its looking Trump probably wins the popular vote outright. You say national polling has been fixed, what are your thoughts on state polling? Democrats have gone from +100 electoral votes in 2020 to -66 electoral votes in 2024.Was there a massive enough change in the polling to make such a huge change in state polling?
I didn't know 2024 electoral votes have been counted already. Those crafting Reps and especially the closet Magas. Insurrection pre-election day, faghgetabout Election Day and Inauguration Day. LOL
