    George Conway Has Brutally Honest Observation About Trump's Campaign Disappearance

    Ed Mazza
    Tue, September 3

    Conservative attorney George Conway had a logical explanation for Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), disappearing from the campaign trail on Monday.

    Conway, a long-time “never Trumper,” shared an MSNBC report noting that Trump and Vance were MIA on Labor Day ― then snarked that their absence could help the GOP ticket.

    “Actually, Trump and Vance are better off the less people see of them,” he wrote;

    Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, spent the Labor Day holiday at high-profile events with union workers.

    Trump fired off a few messages on his Truth Social website, but neither he nor Vance held any public events on the holiday.

    The Harris camp called them out over it.

    “Donald Trump is ditching workers on Labor Day because he is an anti-worker, anti-union extremist who will sell out working families for his billionaire donors if he takes power,” Harris campaign spokesperson Joseph Costello said in a statement. “Vice President Harris is the only candidate for president who stands firmly on the side of labor and working Americans, and she is fighting to build up the middle class by cutting taxes, lowering costs, and creating opportunity.”

    Kamala Harris is cutting off Trump’s political oxygen
    She's also not taking the bait from the press.

    Kamala Harris is succeeding in accomplishing something none of Donald Trump’s adversaries have since 2016: Turning off his political oxygen supply by refusing to engage with his manufactured spectacles of insults and taunts, or with the often wholly substance-free issues that preoccupy the press.

    As last Thursday’s CNN interview of Harris and her running mate Tim Walz made clear, she’s resolutely unwilling to let the press — or Trump himself — set the agenda for her presidential campaign. In the process, she’s managed to blunt the tools Trump has repeatedly used to undermine his opponents: drawing them into responding to his schoolyard slights, and turning the media’s pursuit of purportedly “legitimate” questions about his opponents — many of them formulated by GOP partisans — into political weapons.

    Harris’s refusal to engage with Trump on his terms represents a break from how Democrats traditionally have dealt with him. In related news, her favorables continue to rise while an obviously flustered Trump flails at ghosts and searches in vain for a smear campaign that will allow him to regain the initiative.

    Other manufacturers, as I noted, are cutting their EV plans. This is not limited to Toyota which has scaled back its planned production of three seat EV SUVs in the U.S. which were originally announced early in 2024.

  9. Yeh. Liz advancing her chances of being the republican in Kamala's cabinet. Problem is, everyone hates her. The dems will use her and then put her back on the shelf. Possible ambassadorship to Upper Volta. Maybe she will start talking with a southern accent at rallies as her thought leader, Kamala Harris, does.

    So much for the months and months of posts by the lefties saying that she was going to get the republican nomination.

    Probably not going to happen this cycle or next either.

    We know what Liz Cheney is. We are just watching her haggling over the price.
