Election 2024 Foreplay

Discussion in 'Politics' started by TreeFrogTrader, Feb 1, 2023.

  1. CNN has clearly gotten the message from the Party bosses that they are to start participating in the take-down of Biden.

Just two weeks ago, when Biden's numbers also sucked, all the CNN reporting was "just remember that a lot can change in four months" and "there is growing evidence that many voters will not vote for a convicted criminal."

330 here and 330 there and pretty soon it adds up, eh?

CNN’s John King: Trump is in ‘command,’ could get 330 electoral votes

In a related report by a former MSNBC commie, funny dat:
Keith Olbermann calls on CNN to fire Van Jones for criticizing Biden

It's true. I don't understand. They ran him unopposed in the primaries, they knew how he was, but when America saw him up against Trump, now they want to change horses in the middle of the race.

All the Dem voters got completely played. Now they have zero choice in who their candidate is (If Joe drops out). The party elites will decide for them. Democracy at its finest.

  3. A lot of this traces back to the Dem leaders who are elected officials and the 2020 elections.

They knew Joe was a basket case but their only interest is in getting re-elected. Their reality- in the 2022 midterms- was that Joe is a zombie but they, nevertheless, did unexpected well in the midterms. If the so-called Red Wave had occurred and the dems took a beating in the midterms, believe me, there would have been an open dem primary.

Once again the Dems outsmarted themselves.

  5. If Trump had been convicted and jailed and his poll numbers plummeted 10 points, the Dems would be fine with Biden. Not a problem if he were ahead. They would just revert to the "bad night for Joe" and "Joe has covid" mantras. They just want to win. They could care less if he is on a ventilator in the Oval Office watching I Love Lucy reruns with ten thousand migrant invaders a day gushing in.

The dems have always known they had a dud for candidate so they put all their faith and effort into lawfare against Trump and banging the January 6 drum.

The Democrats thought they can get away with it with the debates. After all, you have the moderators all on their side, Trump facing numerous criminal charges, unable to campaign and raise cash because the lawsuits were taking too much of his time. They thought, they had it in the bag. Until, the US Supreme Court started throwing the bogus cases out on the January 6 case, presidential immunity case and now the classified documents case too by Judge Cannon. Suddenly, the tide turned on them with Joe Biden looking lost, like a zombie stumbling in deserted streets, mumbling incoherently, unable to string a simple sentence in the debate. President Donald Trump just had to look at Joe Biden and his lost look when Trump was speaking, spoke volumes. Joe Biden is way out in outer space. Tens of millions of Americans all saw that in the debate.

  8. As discussed yesterday, the states are already agitating over how the heck to meet ballot deadlines. And every day or at least week that goes by will bring a longer list.

Here for example, Texas is pointing out that the Convention is Aug 19 to 23 but the name of a new nominee must be transmitted to the state by August 27.

All fine and dandy I guess if you think they are going to agree on Kamala at or by the Convention and just vote to approve her and send her name to the state.

But, there is all this talk about a "mini-primary". Various names mentioned and so on. Just exactly when would that happen if the dems go that route? You gonna hold a mini-primary in the four days after the primary and tally everything by the Texas deadline (of which there are a pantload more with similar dates) Or are they going to try to get the mini-primary set up and run and tallied in the short period of time between now and their convention?

Wait til you hear about how the mini-primary will be an online survey to "validate" the votes. Laugh as you may, fine, then you tell me how it can all be done within the time frame. Or if you are telling me that there will be no actual citizen vote involved, that the delegates will just decide in a room, well then, that is not any type of mini-primary. It is just a Soviet style meeting of the Central Planning Committee to decide who you want for a President. Unless they pick Kamala who name was actually on the original state primary votes.

    What a fucking nightmare.

If Biden withdraws, Democrats must act quickly to replace him on the Texas ballot

  9. Poor old lefty Sherrod Brown.

He is already vulnerable as hell, then Trump puts fellow Ohioan JD Vance at the top of the ticket. So now he/Sherrod is participating in the plot to overthrow Joe so that he can hope that the Dems will put someone more exciting at the top of the ticket and he will benefit from it.

    Bye, bye, Comrade.

He's got a "made for the mic" voice though. I have a lot of theories about ones voice and the level of success people achieve given the chance and the right motivation.
