Election 2024 Foreplay

  1. Some in the media are asking why Biden is seeing neurologist/s repeatedly but no complete neurological exams have been ordered. Doucy for example is asking Karine LePoupon if his doctors are reluctant to do a full exam because the results might have political consequences and that Biden and his doctors would not want that.

    Let the viewers decide.

    In related news,

Parkinson’s disease expert who has examined Biden is also one of his donors

The Parkinson’s expert who has evaluated President Biden — logging eight different visits to the White House in as many months — is also among his donors, records show.

Dr. Kevin Cannard, a top neurologist at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, DC, has made a slew of small donations to the 81-year-old’s campaign that date back to February 2020, according to Federal Election Commission filings.

His contributions, first reported by the Washington Examiner, total just over $3,300 — with the last check being cut in May, the records show.

  2. Unfortunately, despite all my cheering for Joe to hang on, I don't see anything going on today or this week as anything more than just putting duct tape and bondo on the inevitable.

He has bought himself some time. But not much. The dems are giving a second look at Kamala and Joe is good until his next big flub and/or the next set of poll numbers in the swing states- either or which will not be long in coming. They will use this weeks little bit of slowing it down to tell themselves that they did not make a rush to judgement and gave Joe the benefit of the doubt because, hey, what a historic figure he is and how much he has done for the country.

Then they will move to plan B to move him out.

As always, I fear the dems voter turn-out scams and dems pent up demand to vote for someone new. Not saying Kamala cannot be beat. Just hoping the pubs have their game face on. And a good vp choice to go with it.

I could be wrong and that would be great. Joe is very badly wounded and he would make an ideal candidate to destroy and shred all the way until November. Not sure we will get that lucky though. As I said the other day, Kamala is dumber than dogshit. Unfortunately there are lots of dems and the dems love stupid.

It's going to get interesting in less than three weeks if Joe stays, and if Joe goes.

Anyway, don't think for even a micro-second that the dems are getting this situation to blow over just because Joe has held on for some more days. As he said "I take a cognitive test every day." Yep. And you fail it every day too Joe.

  5. Obama strikes again.

First Axlerod, then George Staphylococcus, and now George Clooney and his marxist, globalist wife who runs him.

I don't care about these hollywood douchebags but they are/were a big source of fundraising for Biden.

Actor George Clooney, a high-profile Biden supporter and fundraiser, asks president to leave race

They're saying Joe is gonna give a press conference at the conclusion of this NATO summit. Tomorrow I thought they said. If he takes questions, formerly compassionate reporters might have their claws out... to put a fork in him. I think he's gonna stay in, but there's a chance he might screw this up if the questions are tough.

Hey on Rubio... would it be a smart move to pull a sitting Pub out of the Senate? He has until 2028. Desantis appoints someone, but I think in the next general election, the seat is up for grabs. Would Trump risk losing a Senate seat in 2025?

    EDIT:

    Yeah, this:

Biden will then host a solo news conference Thursday afternoon, which Bloomberg journalist Justin Sink first called a “big boy press conference” in a cheeky description that was later repeated several times at a White House press briefing by John Kirby, national security communications advisor, and Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

Sink pressed Jean-Pierre on if the press conference would be “more limited” as many of Biden’s recent appearances and interviews have been, or if it would be an the open question-and-answer session that some expect journalists will use not to ask about NATO, but to question the future of the president’s campaign.

  7. Losing a Senate seat is always a consideration with a fragile balance in the Senate but if he thinks Little Marco can help in win the election- and the hypothetical loss of the seat- is down the road he would just focus on what is right for winning the election. Then keep relating well to Florida and giving them bennies and campaigning for Byron Donalds for Senate when the time comes. Or some version of that. If his administration does well and does well for Florida he can pull levers there as in the past. Needing Trumps help for his future plans will keep Byron peppy and humping for Trump for years to come. And Byron will make out well too. If Byron does not run for Senate, maybe DeSantis will. He may have his eyes on the presidency again, except he knows he did not do very well and also knows that - if for example Rubio is Trump's VP- that Rubio is the natural successor if he does not get caught in bed with Andrew Gillum or Charlie Christ or the like. :vomit::vomit:

Fair-weather friends are no friends at all.

Just to game all of this Biden drop out thinking for the sake of be en vogue.

Let’s say Biden decides to drop out. He has amassed the overwhelming majority of delegates and no other Democrat has qualified for the general election ballot in any state. So the nomination is open and there is no Democrat on the ballot.

Ok. The nomination. Biden would have no choice but to throw his support to Harris. She is technically on the ballot with him as the VP so while not binding or at least I’m not sure of Democratic Party bylaws, she has a very legitimate claim to those delegates. It’s almost impossible to argue a floor fight against her.

So Harris would end out with the nomination. Now if you’re camp Biden - she is already on the ballot as his vp anyway. Which brings us to point number two, without Biden on the ballot democrats will need a write in candidate on every state ballot in America. Winning the presidency on a write in ballot is almost impossible to even wrap your head around. 100 to 125 million write in ballots for Kamala Harris? I don’t think so.

Team Biden has to understand that Biden dropping out is basically ceding the elect to Trump. So Biden has to slog on. Old and stammering, and the whole nine. The only bright side is there is no downside for Biden when prevailing wisdom says he’s cooked. You never know.

  10. Right now, no one is talking about anyone other than Kamala so the scenario you outlined above would be the probable case.

However, that is not the same as saying that if Dems suddenly found someone else they wanted- maybe they went gaga over Newsom of something- that they could not punch rather large holes in some of the procedural factors that favor Kamala. Although that is a moving target. State ballot deadlines start lapsing very fast very soon. If you - say wanted Newsom- you could probably hustle and do it if you knew right here right now that you wanted to call a convention vote in the next three weeks. After that, you might be able to mop up a missed date or two or three by getting a state to do emergency legislation to change their ballot date as they did in Ohio. So if dems are going to get lazy and say "well it is going to Kamala anyway and she is already on the ballot, so what the fuck then fine. But if you are going to get a couple weeks down the road and begin to say "why do we want Kamala if she is already polling worse than Biden and we should not go through all this just to get another dud." Then you better start thinking very hard, and very fast because the hard deadlines are upon you.

As we know, "the passage of time is important especially as time passes." Refer to Word Salad Kamala for more on that.
