RCP has a small c conservative bias. Meaning they err, or have so, on the side of bias toward the democrats. RCP doesn’t use all available polls either. They are selective and try to grab a mix of main stream, conservative and liberal polling in their national average. For the record, I tend to rely on RCPs national average as my starting point. I do believe it has been superior to 538’s.
I do not either. As a matter of fact it is widely accepted the EC bias has narrowed since 2020. The senate map still has a Republican advantage but the house has narrowed.
Heh. I don't think that quite works for ya. Voting one way versus another is part of democracy. And Ukraine support is an area where reasonable people may differ. In contrast, mobs confronting jewish people/students and directly threatening them and calling them pigs and trying to chase them out of their homes and communities is not part of democracy and not an area where reasonable people may differ. Try again, Comrade.
Maybe I don't know for sure.I trust them because they have been right about the popular vote winner since 2004,even if they have biases.
In 2000 the republican won while losing the popular vote by 500,000 votes. In 2016 the republican won while losing the popular vote by 3 million votes. In 2020 the republican likely would have won while losing the popular vote by 5 to 6 million votes. I don't see that as narrowing.
Ukraine is an area where people are divided between Putin loving Trump fans and regular Americans. Those same people are chasing Joe Biden and democrats around the country. Of course you know this.
You wish that it were that simple. And - as we know- your binary mind seeks to frame all issues as either/or. In fact there are more dimensions. Many Americans who are not- or did not start out as- Trump fans nevertheless question whether supporting Ukraine before American needs at the border and in their neighborhood. They have needs too. It is well established that I fully support blowing Putin's sorry arse the fuck out of Ukraine. And by "Ukraine" I include Crimea. Nevertheless the arguments against funding Ukraine have merit that must be acknowledged beyond your glib dismissal of them as just being Putin-lovers. You will learn more about this as the Dem Convention arrives. Chicago and Chicago residents are ground zero for this to blow up.
