Big polling out, shows Trump maintaining a lead within the MOE. Interestingly, while both Biden and Trump have low favorable ratings, Trump is at all time highs for support. To date, we are at Biden’s lowest and Trump’s highest in terms of polling.
Trump has a supreme court/ballot victory coming up Monday. And some form of victory/favorable rulings in Georgia week after next. Ditto for that Jack Smith scenario. Not a victory but conditions favoring trial date roll out. And- last but not least- Super Tuesday will put some helium in Trump's shorts as well. Yeh, decent stretch coming up for him.
Biden has been eating shit on a bunch of issues from Ukraine, inflation/economy perception, Israel, border/migration - while Trump has been in the press for his various legal issues and primary run. The news cycle has favored Trump and Biden is getting hammered on various issue (some legitimate and some not). We’ll see. I tend to stick to the old rule that the general election doesn’t kick off until the conventions this summer but I will admit that we are in a totally different and new landscape. The internet has people engaged at higher levels earlier than ever before and Trump is basically running as an incumbent at this point so I have to admit that some of the old rules may not be ringing true anymore.
Tone Deaf Kamala goes to the Edmund Pettus/sp Bridge in Alabama today to commemorate Bloody Sunday, and delivers a strong message to the crowd about Israel and the need to help the Palestinians. Whatever. Her campaign not mine.
Majority of Asians also, live in the Democrat plantation because they benefit from it like some blacks. When their benefits get cut, food stamps, welfare, section 8 housing subsidy and even jobs, they will all cry foul. Problem for them is they have been replaced by the tens of millions of newcomer illegals that they welcomed with open arms. Their votes will not matter because the newcomer illegals would outnumber them all combined.
The general election kicks off long before the conventions dumb ass. People have their minds made up who they will vote for long before the conventions. March 2020 Mar 2016 March 2012 March 2008
There are shifts in the traditional media too. Although I am prone to diss on CNN and their loss of viewership, it is nevertheless relevant. Those people have not stopped watching cable. More of them are over on Fox and Fox has migrant coverage at a level that gives viewers more outrage than they get from the border invasion deniers. Also, the New York Times has turned on Biden bigtime. One of their headlines was very simple and just said that- regardless of the details and issues- Biden simply is not popular anymore. Of course they are not therefore rooting for Trump, they are just trying to move Biden along. And, of note, in regard to media is Fox. I remember wayyy wayyy back last spring I repeatedly said that I could not see Trump getting the nomination without Fox. So he would have to either turn that around or it was not going to work out for him Rupert Murdoch had flat out announced that his "goal was to make Trump a non -person." Trump suddenly became persona non grata on Fox. It was eery. But then Murdoch's sons took over and decided they wanted the viewership. So Trump got lucky and it did turn around. And Fox is back to being an extension of the Trump campaign. DeSantis obviously did not benefit from the Trump becoming the official Fox candidate. I mean- yowzer- the Trump coverage is massive.
