2 things to consider: What if West, Stein and/or Kennedy drop out than most of those swithc to even.. What is the margin of error on top of the first point above...
If West or Stein drops out the other will get their votes. While West is my first choice I think I will be voting for Stein because I really doubt West will be on the ballot.Or if West or Stein drops out millions will just stay home.Pissed off progressives and blacks will not be switching to Biden. Even if not for West and Stein it is not even.Trump is up in 9 of the last 11 RCP polls and 2 points. That doesn't include the slave states EC advantage.Biden won by 4.5 points in 2020 but only won The EC by 42,000 votes so with just Biden and Trump Biden is down in the the polling 2 points and The EC 4-5 points. Hillary lost 4.4 million 2012 Democrat voters.Biden will lose more than 10 million 2020 Democrat voters, probably over 15 million.
Fund raising to date. A few points: 1. money can’t buy you love. Biden still has very low approval polling and money usually can’t bring up your favorable ratings. 2. republicans are vulnerable here because while money cannot buy love it sure can be used to drive down your opponents favorable ratings. 2b. I have not dug into where the money is coming from but republican donors may be fatigued with giving to Trump and buying his merch. I’m not sure how many big dollar donors are lining up for this party led by Trump or the totally anemic legislative side of business. I’m not really sure where the traditional deal between the republicans and big money incentive is anymore either. This may be showing up in the numbers. I don’t know.
There is no covering up that the RNC's cash position is not good. And their get out the vote effort is non-existent. Ronna will go but it is too late in the game for the ground up building that was needed. I have nothing but "I told you so's" for everyone on that. However, the Republicans have Joe to drive down his favorability ratings and Joe is doing a stellar job and little or no Republican money has been required to do it. So there is that. Biden has 130million but if Joe were replaced tomorrow and the new candidate's cash on hand was zero that candidate would be in a stronger position than Joe.
It’s no big secret the republicans should have embraced mail in voting. Dollar for dollar, because their voters tend to be less urban, it’s the biggest bang for the buck. But of course you can’t really turn that ship with Trump at the helm because he can’t give up the argument of a rigged election.
