Haley’s Best Hopes Of Beating Trump May Be In The Hands Of U.S. Supreme Court The high court’s rulings on two cases could put Trump’s legal problems front and center, just as millions of Republicans get ready to vote. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/haley-trump-supreme-court-primary_n_65b2eadae4b077c17ab49b62
Biden says pass the border deal and he would use the authority in it to shut the border down the same day he signs it into law. Trump says, no deal and leave the border open. What’s all the farm boys and right wingers got to say about this???
Alright checking in on Trump: He has 30 days to pay up or bond the judgment with 20% while he seeks appeal. If he doesn’t pay or bond up 4.77% compounding daily after the 30 days on $86 million. Trumps ability to get a bond is a serious question and I’m sure if the court will accept property as holding in lieu of bond. Fun times in camp Trump.
RFK confirms that he is meeting with the Libertarian Party to discuss becoming a Libertarian so that he will immediately be on the ballot in all the states where Libertarians are on ballots which would be a pantload if not all, googlemeisters can confirm. We have all been on the forum long enough to know that certain idiots have to rise up and say "he will never win." It is an obligatory kneejerk response on their part but IT DOES NOT HAVE A FRIGGING THING TO DO WITH WINNING. Nor is it for NoLabels. The capacity for third parties to grab a couple points here and a couple points there to keep either of the main parties from getting a majority and throwing it into the House is ENORMOUS. Or the capacity for one of these third parties to mess up the very same "thirty to forty thousand votes in five states that will control the outcome" that are much discussed is also ENORMOUS. Smarten the fuck up. Last warning. You have been warned for months by yours truly. It is not about "he will never win." It is and has always been about how badly messed up the electoral landscape will become creating unknown unknowns. You think you can post some goddam RCP averages showing Trump or Biden two points ahead or behind and calculate the turnout of suburban women and figure out where we are headed? You can't. It is much messier than that. Refer to Hillary and Jill Stein for more on this.
You know those polls showing that a third party candidate will cause Joe Biden to lose to Trump. Well they mainly come from a single pollster -- who is married to the person who leads "No Labels". To make it clear "No Labels" is funded by Republicans intent on spoiling Joe Biden from being re-elected. The primary point is that most of these polls showing a third party candidate giving Trump a big lead with a large number of votes for a third party candidate are biased bullshiat -- however a third party candidate is still a threat to Biden's re-election. It would only take a small number of votes in key states to tip the election to Trump. The Pollster Getting Under Democrats’ Skin Longtime Clinton pollster Mark Penn sees a huge opportunity for a third-party contender in 2024. https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2024/01/27/clinton-pollster-2024-00138163 One of the biggest threats to Joe Biden’s reelection is a third party candidate — viable or not. It wouldn’t take much for a third party or independent contender to tip the election in Donald Trump’s favor. In 2020, the presidency was decided by less than 40,000 votes in three swing states. And in 2024, third party fever seems to be on the rise. Already, Cornel West, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Jill Stein are running. Then there’s the quixotic movement known as No Labels, which has cited a stream of polling data arguing that a large majority of Americans are crying out for an alternative to Trump and Biden. The man producing those polls is Mark Penn, best known for two things: his devotion to centrist politics and his longtime role as the top pollster and strategist for Bill and Hillary Clinton. Penn’s wife Nancy Jacobson runs No Labels and frequently uses Penn’s data to support her project, though he says he has no role in the organization. Penn reports that 64 percent of voters say “the country needs another choice” if it’s a Biden-Trump rematch and that most voters would consider a moderate, independent candidate as an alternative to the current president and former president. Not surprisingly, the couple’s work has infuriated Democrats — who are spending money to discredit them, sue No Labels, thwart the group’s voter registration efforts and pressure its affiliates. So what does Mark Penn think about all of this? We decided to ask him. I caught up with Penn on this week’s Playbook Deep Dive podcast. We talked about his controversial polls, his real relationship with No Labels and why he thinks that Nikki Haley may still have a big role to play in this year’s election. (More at above url)
Unfortunately I don't think that any of the 14th Amendment suits will take Trump off the ballot in November. I am fairly sure the conservative majority U.S. Supreme Court will allow Trump to remain on the ballot in all states.
