DeSantis shot himself in the foot with his very weak remarks on Alvin Bragg. Instead, of savaging Bragg for his blatant abuse of power and trying to take President Donald Trump's rights away, he referenced the fact that Trump paid hush monies to Stormy Daniels? He missed the point by a mile, witnessed by millions of US voters. Not a surprise that Ron DeSantis support fell a great deal after that. He showed himself to be weak, will not fight Democrats on their abuses. He also, has to debate President Donald Trump on policies on the economy, borders, foreign policy among others. He adopted the RINO position of confronting Russia. That is after saying the Ukraine war was a border dispute? His flip flopping on the issues will not help him one bit.

  2. Yep. He has splainin to do.

And Trump would do well to go after him on the issues rather than silly name stuff.

One guy who got a boost is Vivek Ramaswamy. Nobody knew him but, he spoke out strongly to Alvin Bragg's abuse of powers and also, on other policies. He is like a clone of President Donald Trump as to his policy proposals so, would be a credible candidate for the nomination if Trump does not get it. He is also, a businessman.

  6. He is a smart fucker for sure and his wife is not an idiot either.

As I have said many times, there are many people who will not necessarily win but it upgrades the quality of the interactions in the primary debate and they can do some real damage. I gave the example of Tulsi Gabard putting an end to Kamala primary run by confronting her over her history of excessively locking up blacks while she was DA even though she claims to be woke.

I don't know if Vivek will get enough attention to qualify for the debate stage but it would be an upgrade to debates to get him there.

Yes. This is something that not-Trump and DeSantis supporters are missing, Trump is actually growing in support from republican primary voters with his never ending attacks on not only DeSantis but anyone and everyone.

And another thing they don’t get is that proportional primary delegates ends quickly in the Republican nomination process. Forty-fifty percent will carry Trump to the nomination early and strongly in the Republican primary.

If you want to be the Republican nominee you have to knock Trump out early. Their process doesn’t draw out to the convention like the democrats.

Lets see how it goes after the first primary debate. Or heck, even if DeSantis actually announces his intent to run at all.

Yeah, this will show up on the debate stage…

“President Trump wrote ‘Art of the Deal’ and brokered Middle East peace,” said Taylor Budowich, spokesman for the Trump-aligned Make America Great Again PAC. “Ron DeSantis just got out-negotiated by Mickey Mouse.”
