I'll send you a buy 1, get one free meal coupon to Long John Silvers (you folks up there like seafood right?) if that one turns out correct.

I get to double down however, that she gets within 9 points of Trump in NH.

Oops. I just looked, she's already there. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...-in-new-hampshire-new-poll-finds/72159077007/

Ok... Super Tuesday. What's Trumps lead on that one? Whatever it is, she romps the polls and closes in by at least 1/2 of those current #'s.

  3. Oh let's not confound or conflate the projections. NH is NH and Haley is even withing striking distance/likely to exceed trump there. Desantis is bye-bye American pie in NH. We be talking about Iowa.

Also, in regard to "up there" if you mean Maine, I am an "out there" person now on the West Coast, so you would send a certificate for granola or arugula I guess.

  5. More likely NoLabels rebuffed him rather than the other way around. Or that he saw that Manchin has taken the lead there.

The frigging guy left the Maryland governorship with an 82% approval rating from DEMOCRATS. He is a rino republican for crisesake. You put him on a NoLabels ticket with a democrat and you have two democrats. Duh. I hope the math I did there is not too complicated for some.

Ex–Maryland governor Hogan appears to have rebuffed No Labels pressure to mount third-party presidential run

The real question is will Trump break 50%?

I say yes. Close to 60%. The cold will benefit Trump the most. His supporters are overly enthusiastic. I think Desantis like 15 ish and Ramaswamy 10-8, Haley 7ish.

Never know though. Iowa has a great history of not caring what anyone thinks and just sending in some unexpected results.

Let's see Trump's rallying cry to have his voters turn out... Donnie does not care if you die.

Trump sends sick supporters caucusing: 'If you vote and then pass away, it's worth it'
    https://www.rawstory.com/trump-iowa-caucus-sick/

Former President Donald Trump told his supporters to attend Iowa caucuses even if it literally kills them.

During a Sunday speech in Iowa, Trump urged attendees to participate in a caucus for him on Monday.

"You can't sit home," the former president insisted. "If you're sick as a dog, you say, darling — even if you vote and then pass away, it's worth it. Remember, if you're sick, if you're just so sick, you can't, darling, I don't think..."

"Get up," Trump replies to himself from an imagined wife's point of view.

"Yes, darling," he remarked, "ultimately, we know who calls the shots."

  8. Whoa, you are saying Haley at 7???

A couple days ago you were reminding us that the Iowa Poll "has a rather gravity defying record of accuracy." A poll which puts her at 20.

Okay, Haley at 7 for you.

I have her at 2 points (minimum) above desantis - whatever his number turns out to be.

I do believe that Ramaswamy will out perform by two to four or more points in NH for reasons that I outlined in a post so will spare everyone. That could kick in in Iowa a bit too but I have not followed him much there. NH yes though. As I said in the earlier post some voters are going to toss him a bone on the way out just for being an independent thinker. At least NH will.

Yes. If anyone will be affected by the cold, I think it’s most likely to be Haley supporters. Polls do not take into consideration things like that.

Also I’m thinking sub 115k turnout (150k is the high end under the right circumstances).

  10. So basically, we both disagree with the Iowa poll in that we have desantis ahead of haley. That's not much fun.

I think Vivek will get a boost because he went to all the counties in Iowa twice and they love that there. That's their version of kissing the ring. Vivek did the "Full Grassley" on steroids. The rogues and younger types love him in NH for different reasons.
