State polling isn't as accurate as national polling but when a candidate is leading by 5 or more points it gets more accurate.
Nikki is a mere 4 points behind Trump in New Hampshire in the latest poll. At this point Christie should just drop out and throw his support behind Haley if he actually cares about Trump not being the Republican candidate for President. Ron DeSantis is back in 4th place with a distant 6% in the poll. This complete loser should also drop out. SHOCK POLL: Nikki Haley Trailing Trump by Just 4 Points in New Hampshire https://www.mediaite.com/news/shock...ling-trump-by-just-4-points-in-new-hampshire/ Ex-U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley is trailing her old boss, former President Donald Trump, by just four points in New Hampshire, according to a shocking new poll. The survey, conducted by the American Research Group, indicates that Trump leads the pack with 33% of voters. But Haley is nipping at his heels at his heels at 29%. Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (13%), Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (6%), and Vivek Ramaswamy (5%) come in behind the two frontrunners. Three hundred sixty-one Republicans and 239 undeclared voters participated in the poll, as independent voters are permitted to participate in the Granite State’s primary. Trump’s lead over Haley is larger among Republican voters (39%-27%) although Haley still finishes in a comfortable second place. Among independent voters, Haley actually leads the pack at 33%, with Trump (24%) and Christie (23%) following. Haley has been on an upward trajectory in New Hampshire and the Republican primary race more generally for months, steadily climbing in the polls as DeSantis’s numbers have declined. A number of commentators have called on Christie to drop out and endorse Haley to better her chances of pulling off an upset against Trump, but he has shown no signs of stepping aside despite his dismal polling in every state except for New Hampshire. A poll from CBS News earlier this week similarly suggested that Haley was continuing to see her stock rise in New Hampshire, also pegging support for her at 29%. Trump, however, remained 15 points ahead of her in that survey at 44%. Haley supporters have argued that her momentum and proven ability to pull voters into her camp makes her the strongest viable challenger to Trump, while DeSantis supporters have submitted that she is not strong enough with the base of the party to prevail.
After NH, if numbers hold up then Ronnie and Vivek could finally quit which then gives Christie and Nikki more room to close the gap...so Christie should not go anywhere as he just has to outlast ROnnie and Vivek early on
Christie is having issues with appearing on the ballot in some states. His organization did a poor job in collecting signatures... not only in Maine... but elsewhere. In some respects this shows that Christie is merely running to take down Trump and he was not focused on a serious campaign. Judge keeps Chris Christie off Maine's Republican primary ballot https://www.cbsnews.com/news/judge-...maine-republican-presidential-primary-ballot/ Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's latest attempt to get on the Maine Republican presidential primary ballot failed Thursday after his campaign tried to recover from a surprising setback in the Super Tuesday state. Earlier this month, the Maine Secretary of State's office said that Christie's campaign fell short of the necessary number of certified signatures needed from Maine voters to qualify for the state's Republican presidential primary. His campaign appealed the decision, but a Maine Superior Court judge sided on Thursday with the secretary of state's handling of the situation. "We appreciate that the court upheld the integrity of Maine's well-established ballot access requirements," Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows said in a statement. "Every candidate, including presidential candidates, must follow the law to qualify for the ballot. We are glad that the court recognized that Maine law is workable and fair to all." Earlier this month, Maine Director of Elections Heidi M. Peckham said in a letter that Christie's campaign had only turned in 844 of the minimum 2,000 certified signatures required to appear on the ballot. Candidates faced a requirement of filing signatures with municipal clerks for certification before submitting them to the secretary of state's office. A Christie spokesperson responded at the time that the campaign had gathered 6,000 signatures, arguing it was "simply a procedural issue with the way they reviewed signatures and is under appeal." But the arguments put forward by Christie's campaign failed to change the stance in the Maine case. In a statement to CBS News Thursday following the ruling, a spokesperson for Christie's campaign said that "we disagree with the court's decision, and we are evaluating our options." According to the decision by Maine Superior Court Justice Julia M. Lipez, Christie "did not separate petition forms by town, as instructed by the Secretary, or, in the alternative, give himself sufficient time to bring those multi-town signature sheets to the relevant municipalities before the November 20 deadline." Christie still has the option to file as a write-candidate in Maine. The deadline to do so is Dec. 26, according to the secretary of state's office. The news is the latest trouble for the Christie campaign as he faces pressure to drop out of the race and help consolidate support around an alternative candidate to former President Donald Trump, the frontrunner in the GOP race. Christie's strategy has centered around going all in on the Jan. 23 New Hampshire primary. His campaign has maintained he has a path after the contest, but the struggles in Maine threaten to undercut that tone. Leading Republican presidential candidates, and even some longshots, are set to be on the ballot in the Maine contest on March 5. Those include Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy and pastor Ryan Binkley.
Christie has a lot to lose though. He is a fat obnoxious slob who ended out looking like a hostage after Trump beat him to a pulp last time and was not brought into the administration despite months of his trying. His whole shtick in entering the race was that he was going to be sumo wrestler who confronted Trump face to face on stage. THAT IS NOT GOING HAPPEN. Nor is he going to get much of the vote in NH even though that is the only state where he has campaigned. So what does he have to gain with all this? He is not going to be seen as the Trump-slayer and he is not going to be the guy who wowed them in NH and it becomes a springboad. Fat slob loser who preached at length that low level candidates should be prepared to drop out. On the other hand, Nikki needs to have his votes freed up before the primary. If he did that, it would allow him a defeated but honorable exit creating some good will with Camp Haley and would let him beat his chest by saying he lived up to pledge to get out early if you cannot win. Why he would not take that I dunno. Tis the way he rolls ie. always do the thing that makes the maximum number of people hate him. As a practical matter, what does he have to lose by dropping out early and then campaigning for Haley or Desantis? Oh I see a chance to wake up and see that he came in fourth or fifth in NH. Then what?
Thank God that Joe has Usual Tard's daily Power Point presentations on the economy to show us how good things really are. Wow, there will be an extra potato in the Comrade's Christmas rations for sure. I still think Chrsitie is going to hold on to at least two primaries to try and close the gap to Nikki... if there is a chance trump get jail or kicked off or Nikki's trail closes to the same number that Christie holds, Nikki has to approach him to make a deal. SO I think Christie has nothing to lose unless he drops behind ROnnie and Vivek in NH and Vermont. If he hovers and the gap closes then his support becomes currency, the kind he pretended to have with trump who dumped him while he stood behind trump looking like a beaten spouse.
Okay, there we have it then. A difference of views. The next primary after NH is Nevada and Nikki is the only candidate out of all of them who is running a campaign there. Trump doe not need to of course but how Christie can do well there, never having been there, I guess remains to be seen. Maybe it would be his charm. Next after Nevada is SC. Haley's home state. Again, she has problems against Trump there and maybe Desantis. But how Christie would redeem himself there also remains to be seen.
Great legal week for Trump. The bogus Colorado case is being appealed up to the Court and when that scam goes down it will clear all the other similar scams from other states with the regard to insurrection scam. Versus all the other scams. Also, BREAKING NEWS, somewhat, The Supreme Court just shot down Jack Smith's request to expedite so that he could try Trump before the primaries. Of course, Team Trump knows he will probably lose on the immunity issue when arrives before the court, but it is the delay that they want. Similarly, Jack Smith knows that if Trump gets it delayed- which he apparently has- that it will be difficult to try him during the general election and if Trump wins, then the case will be disposed of - either via pardon or ordering the Justice Department to drop the case. Havin' fun yet, Jack? Asswipe.
