So you aren’t really keeping up and just applying some generalizations you’ve developed onto the current situation with housing. It’s much more complicated than you make out and trying to force your credit card debt priors into it makes it even more disconnected.

If you are looking for a connection between student loan debt and home ownership its student loans is preventing many people from getting married. Marriage makes for a stronger housing consumer.

The credit card debt thing you’re fixated on isn’t a real factor in today’s economy. People aren’t living off of credit cards to any meaningful extent. As I stated before, Americans can actually hold a lot more credit card debt than they are right now. But “the dumb are mostly intrigued by the drum” so you’re looking at the rise off of historic lows like you’ve just discovered the Holy Grail or something.

If anything, we are in a Goldie Locks zone in the economy. High employment wages outpacing inflation, inflation declining etc.

  2. Give it a rest mate. I simply made the point that strong retail sales as the season progresses are not necessarily a good thing if it is being put on the credit card. That's all. Most people get the point in about two seconds.

I usually give you a wide latitude to walk sideways like a crab with some verbal diarrhea because I am a giver and know that you need to hump away pretty hard to earn your potato from left handlers . But when I do that you usually keep going until you get totally fucking ridiculous, which you have clearly done in the statement below. You are an embarrassment. Your head is so far up Joe Briben's arse you can see no daylight. Hopeless. Everything is and always will be groovy for you n the economy as long as Biden or a dem is in office. Otherwise. No extra potato in your rations, comrade.

Yo viewers, in case you did not know, the country is right in the sweet spot.

  3. This is the "Goldie Locks zone" that one of our previous posters referred to:

Belief in the American Dream Has Collapsed Under Biden

A new poll by The Wall Street Journal and NORC reveals that only 36 percent of U.S. voters believe the “American dream” is attainable, a stark contrast to a previous survey where 68 percent agreed with the notion of hard work leading to success.

The poll also found that roughly two-thirds of voters perceive the economy as poor, with concerns about inflation outpacing wages and rising prices.

The “American dream” appeared more unattainable to women and younger respondents, and only 35 percent felt the economy was in good condition.

  4. Chris Christie being the two-faced piece of shit that we know him to be.

Y;all will recall that early on he would spout off at length about how the success of bringing Trump down would be dependent on other candidates dropping out and not just hanging on.

Now that there are calls for him to drop out he suddenly starts spouting tripe about how math works and national polls mean nothing because people vote by state not nationally in primaries (he says that with a straight face having only campaigned in New Hampshire and not polling well there either).

On top of that he has said of late that he is in until the convention.

I am not saying that he has to agree with the premise that Haley or Desantis are the number two yet Just sayin, he is positioning himself to just hang around even if the number two becomes more clear.

Oh yeh, this is the fat slob we know.

I’m calling balls and strikes. You take it however you want to.

And for the record, I have no doubt a great many people believe in things they don’t understand. As I have stated, polling shows people express economic anxiety while being in strong financial positions.

  6. No. You are calling potatoes and strikes.

And yes, voters will take it the way THEY want. Not you. We know that Briben has your vote. Don't be so sure beyond that.

Just keep ignoring reality. It will work out so well for ya.

The busiest travel day ever recorded is not a sign of hard economic times. Pay attention and maybe you wouldn’t be so frustrated.

  10. This thread is about the election so the discussion about the economy is about how it relates to the election. Even if I were to take your position- that everything is beautiful- which I don't- it is not translating into support for Biden. You undoubtedly will make your point from the script you have been given that voters are just too stupid to follow how good things are and as the economy improves that will change. Yeh. That has been your rap for months, so how could it be different now.

Meanwhile, inflation was allegedly the biggest problem, so any signs that it was letting up would allegedly translate into Biden support. Howz that workin' out for ya? Biden's polling just continues to tank while you bootlickers whistle past the graveyard with all your little economic tidbits that are supposed to translate into support for Biden.
