Secretary of State is always a good carrot. He might bite on that one and step aside for now.

You know that extreme liberal media fudges with the poll numbers a lot. At a minimum, the actual figures would have Trump @ 80 percent support. And if the US had clean elections, it would easily be a Trump landslide. Too much cheating by Democrats with assistance from the RINOs who hate Trump make winning for a Republican pretty tough these days. That is huge problem standing in the way of Trump winning the 2024 elections. He might still be able to sneak a win thru if the Republicans can minimize the cheating in Arizona, Georgia, etc.

WAPO may just be trying to force Biden out of the race. We'll see how other polls eventually come in.

I’m not sure if this is good or bad for DeSantis, tbh.

  5. Without doubt it is bad for Biden, at a minimum. Newsom allegedly not running but out there visiting red states and debating Republican frontrunners. C'MON MAN.

My view is that it is bad for DeSantis too. The reality is that Hannity went head to head with him and pressed on Newsom in all the areas where DeSantis also expects to bag him. And Newsom held up well. His politics and views suck but he has a marketable answer to all the disasters in California. Newsom is a born bullshitter and gets more joyous the deeper he gets into the bullshit. DeSantis- au contraire- easily becomes sour and devoid of personality if pressed. He can do several rounds okay but it wears on him after that.

I don't think DeSantis will necessarily walk away as a loser -maybe even breakeven- but he is only doing that because he wants to advance himself not just breakeven. As I said though, bad news for Biden to have Newsom out there presenting himself as a clean, articulate democrat who can remember his name and find his way off stage. No way Camp Biden is the winner there.

DeSantis is going to get his ass handed to him. Even if I don't agree with all of Newsom's perspectives he is a much better debater. DeSantis in any type of debate comes off as having no personality, charmless, forcing poor-perspectives with ridiculous explanations, and angry. This debate might be the final nail in DeSantis' presidential campaign.

    I disagree
This is a one on one, about policy not ideology.
Desantis comes across as a clam thinking person with reasonable thoughtful answers, a lot different then the media interpretation
Newson speaks in generalities with bias ...The specific will get Newson...Because leftist ideas cant stand up to logic

Have ever seen a DeSantis press conference when he is questioned by anyone except for the invited right-wing media? It is a complete shiat-show. DeSantis will do poorly with questions from a moderator and re-direction of points from Newsom.

DeSantis is actually a pretty sharp policy guy. However, calm and reasonable are not two attributes I would associate with him.

  10. Fox has more democrats watching than the lefty democrat-only networks do.

I didn't say that Newsom will flip any republicans. But Hannity has lots of dems who regularly watch and plenty who do not watch but will watch this debate if only because they are channel surfing and see Newsom.

And democrats love those lefty ideas that can't stand up to logic. They have elected most dems upon lefty logic that cannot stand up to logic.

Just sayin, the dems are seriously cruising for and have a deep visceral hunger right now to see a dem candidate who is not Biden or Kamala and it will do Camp Biden no good to have Newsom going around and running his flag up the pole to see who salutes.

DeSantis - meh- he may win a little or lose a little with this gambit. I am declaring Biden the loser.
