This flap between the DNC and New Hampshire over their primary date is sort of a big issue that the DNC has kept within manageable bounds by continuing to offer a series of extensions for New Hampshire to come around. But guess what, they ain't gonna move. By tradition and actually by statute there, NH is to be the first in nation primary. Biden had SC moved up to being or attempting to be the first in nation as payback to Jim Clyburn for delivering black votes and SC in the primary last time around. NH doesn't care anything about that. All these little deadline extensions have been fine and dandy but it is all going to blow up at some point. It is a lose for the DNC to grind its boot on NH. Even if the DNC eventually wins it will be a sour, sour happening that will put lots of bad juju into dem primary atmospherics. NH will try to outmaneuver them though and move their primary date up ahead of SC. A bad stupid move by the DNC creates lots of ill will. NH will dish out some payback and take it out on the dems when it comes voting time too. There could be unintended consequences for the dems too. Suppose SC does become the first in the nation primary- and suppose further that Joe drops out- and then people like Gavin Newsome enter ther race.
