The more people that enter the Republican primary the more likely Trump will be the nominee. I know nobody wants to hear it but it must be said. Christie got re-elected due to super storm Sandy and the bipartisanship that brought about. Now he thinks he was so great because of it but he obviously doesn’t play well anywhere. He wants to be heard and thought of as important. Y’all’s problem is getting him to feel important without him actually being important. But, no, Chris Christie is not a viable republican candidate and there is no reason for him to get into the race. He’s not even in the veep-stakes.
Williamson is another one, all hat and no cattle. The Dems are probably looking to disassociate with her because she has become a useful idiot for right wing media. Think Tulsi but with chakra crystals.
Well of course he is not going to get elected or be VP. He is obnoxious. But recently I did a full rap on how certain candidates can do damage to other candidates even though they themselves are not electable. I gave the example of Tulsi Gabbard eviscerating Kamala and bringing her primary run to a screeching halt. And Little Marco did real damage to Jeb Bush, even though he is/was not electable. etc. I entreat thee to give some thought to that. Christie has baggage against Trump a mile wide and two miles deep. Although he himself is not electable due to the New Jersey type personality, he can function as a chief cheerleader against Trump. As always, I say, don't go binary. This is not just about whether the person themselves is electable. It is how the mix shapes up. Bernie is not electable either. But if he gets in, there is block of votes and arguments made that Camp Biden will need to deal with.
But you cannot deny what I said about their treatment of Amy Klobuchar, your girl. And my point was that they are just frigging with Williamson because they want to snuff out anyone or anything that suggests that Biden should be challenged. If it goes into a full slate of candidates against Biden (remains to be seen) and your girl runs again, you will see my point then. Same dynamic will be at play. There is not much of a pathway for Trump- as discussed. He will control the early front end of the primary though. All these polls that show how a known candidate stack up against unknown people who have not even known yet or are not even running yet get about a 2 on the meter with me.
Again, Christie entering the race to knock someone out is counterproductive unless your goal is to get Trump the nomination. I get you may see this as open and someone like DeSantis can pull the nomination in a crowded field but no. Trump supporters are super sticky and represent 30 plus percent of the base then there’s another 70 percent or so that have voted for him 4x so a significant percent of those are get able for Trump. His rallies will grow and the fever will take over. The only antidote is mano e mano challenge from the meatball in high heels. Binary this and binary that, it doesn’t matter. You have to take out Trump for who can take out who to matter.
Yeah, I don’t disagree that Williamson is probably being targeted because she has become a shill for the right.
As I have said before, your points are not without merit. Unfortunately, the factors I see are not without merit either. One is that Trump crowd-surfed off of Fox news coverage 24/7. But Rupert Murdoch has flat out said that "our goal is to make Trump a non-person" so that source of support for him has been vaporized. They will cover him in a generic way but not in an advocacy way. He needs the "advocacy way." Unless on thinks that the lefty networks are going to cover each and every rally and utterance that he has as Fox did. Second, you say, "his rallies will grow and the fever will take over." And should that be the case that would indeed cause a revision in my thinking. When the facts change, I will adjust my view. But that works both ways doesn't it. Right now we see somewhat embarrassing empty chairs in the limited instances where Trump has been out and about. It's early, but Trump was blazing and rocking and rolling early and lighting fires with crowds early on in the 2016 race. Looks a little womp...womp...wompy to me now. And to make it worse, even if he has a great rally, Fox probably will not run the whole thing with the Fox hosts self-stimulating over his every word. In sum, as stated before, I see the lack of Fox endorsement and the early signs of empty chairs as an early warning. Note- I am not saying that he will not get some thunder. I am saying you statement that "his rallies will grow and the fever will take over" is doubtful in my mind. You could be right. I am saying I don't see it. When and if I do see it, I might or might not adjust my opinion, but I know what I am looking for.
Nope. She is further left than Biden and Bernie supports her running (not the same as supporting her election). You are following the dem script which says that you must label anyone who challenges Biden as a right wing shill. Nope again, lots of people- including well over half of dems do not want Biden to run and they are not right wing shills. Bernie Sanders says Marianne Williamson will run a 'strong campaign' and raise 'very important issues' in 2024 https://www.businessinsider.com/ber...2024-elizabeth-warren-important-issues-2023-3
I will jump to your second point first. Trump will kick this stuff up by starting out in states like Alabama West Virginia where his support is sky high and his rallies will be events. That should get the momentum going well enough and watch the snowball ensue. Fox. Lol. They’ll do the same thing they have done. Nope, not Trump but but ratings and they’re off to the races with him. We’ll see but I can’t see the angle of Trump not steam rolling the Republican competition. Add on to that, the leading alternative to Trump has the personality of a turnip. He is just not entertaining although he is resentful enough. Like I said he will hide from Putin but can’t wait to get into the mud with a transgender woman, and that’s about the right speed for republicans. The rest of these guys really don’t stand a chance.
