Election 2024 Foreplay

  1. You guys might need to try a little harder.

There were/are many who were or have been in favor of arming Ukraine because they supported the idea of giving Ukraine the capacity to defend itself to the extent possible- particularly since there has been a border conflict going in the donbas for the last 15 years.

Part of the thinking was that they need to be able to defend themselves because they are not and will not be a member of NATO any time soon - if ever. AND THEREFORE THE U.S. AND NATO WILL NOT BE GETTING INVOLVED IN ANY DIRECT CONFLICTS.

So you can support one but not necessarily the other.

No windsocking there. Two different issues. Pretty straightforward but challenging for the binary thinkers.

But we get it. DeSantis is gaining traction and that is a threat to you.

    BIG HUG!!

There’s lots of wind socking going on here. The truth is it’s all political with windsock Ron. No brains, just red meat for the haters.

Desantis can probably hold up in the brain department a bit more than Biden and Kamala, eh?

Wow. Ron has not even announced yet and you guys are acting panicky and threatened.

At this point, either a candidate is a Patriot who supports Democracy, or a Traitor who supports Putin & Fascism.

It's not just me who asserting Ron DeSantis is completely wrong about Ukraine, it is a long line of Senators in his own party who are correcting him -- including GOP Senators representing Florida. At this point the GOP leaders are beyond perturbed with Ron, they are angry. "Who ever thought DeSantis could be as stupid as Trump".

GOP senators push back on Ron DeSantis over Ukraine

Whatever keeps you chugging along, I guess.

For the record, I don’t think DeSantis holds up any better or worse than Trump in the general election. If the election were held today, I doubt Americans would want to change course on Biden.

  7. How come his favorability and support levels are in the toilet then?

Believe the polls, don’t believe the polls - I can’t keep up with you guys. Believe the polls only on Wednesdays, I guess? Ok, we’ll go with that.

You figure it out. The same polls that have Biden with sub par approvals have him beating all republicans.

I don’t know maybe we believe approval ratings on Wednesdays and presidential match ups on Thursdays. I’m sure there’s nuance to this.

  9. Okay, just checking

Might want to work on that a bit though. Even the majority of dems do not want Joe to run again. You used the squishy polls with announced and unannounced candidates that allegedly show that Joe can beat them as confirmation of your assertion that voters do not want a change from Joe if the election were held today. Well, first of all. The election is not going to be held today. And second, you are doing your favorite thing which is binary thinking. It is not either/or. Dems can want to replace Joe and want to beat the republicans too. They are not convinced that Joe is the best horse to bet on, so don't assume that wanting to beat the republicans corners them into supporting Joe in the primary. They may end out there if Joe gets the nomination but they are not even remotely there yet. Wanting to beat the republicans is also a reason for not supporting Joe, along with thinking that Joe cannot make it to age 86 without "an event" and they hate Kamala's guts- just as the republicans do.

Find a better candidate. Constrary to your assertions. The dems and the country do want a change from Joe or do not want to risk out with him up until age 86. Nor do they want the dumb broad on his ticket.
