Election 2024 Foreplay

Discussion in 'Politics' started by TreeFrogTrader, Feb 1, 2023.

  1. Your binary mind wants to make it either/or.

It is not. Taking Trump down is part of what must done for an opponent, along with being an electable candidate beyond that. You got the first part, but then you get overload if someone brings another factor into the discussion.

    1) To be elected, an opponent to Trump must take Trump down - or have someone else take Trump down.

    2) To win, a candidate must then be the candidate that the voters want. There is no rule in life that says that if Trump goes down, Christie automatically becomes the next best choice.

Work with that a little bit.

Voters are going to flip through their playing cards from week to week to see if anything is good. Christie might get his 15 minutes of fame somewhere- mayber among NH voters because he has spent all his time there. Long run, he is a loser headed nowhere. He has been drifting around for years and in the end people end out finding him to be disgusting. Being from New Jersey your standards are lower so you do not see it a easily.

  2. You don't want to be Paul Manafort or just a republican and try this act. You will get raided in the middle of the night and have to go to the slam for a long time. It's all good though if you are Hunter or Cornel West. Two justice systems in America.

Green Party candidate Cornel West owes more than half a million dollars in taxes and child support: Records

"Any time you shine a flashlight under somebody's clothes, you're gonna find all kind of mess, because that's what it is to be human," West said.

Can we please have a candidate that's NOT a scumbag? All of these people, every last one of them, is fucking hopeless.

  6. Biden and the Crime Family staying at Tahoe for a few days before going to that nasty ole Maui where things are so depressing.

Probably he will have some Build Back Better speech there in Maui along with a speech about how the MAGA republicans who reject climate change are responsible for the fire. But Joe needs his rest first and to hang out with the billionaire before dealing with the hoi polloi in Maui. And Obama, well, he is over on Oahu or Martha's Vineyard so his islands are doing fine. No need for him to get his hands dirty.

Biden Rents Tahoe Home From 2020 Primary Foe Steyer

(Bloomberg) -- President Joe Biden and his family are vacationing at a Lake Tahoe home belonging to billionaire Tom Steyer, whom Biden defeated in the 2020 Democratic presidential race.

The private home, owned by Steyer and his wife Kat Taylor, is located in the Glenbrook community on the east side of the lake, a popular tourist destination straddling California and Nevada. The Bidens are renting the house “for fair market value,” the White House said in a statement.

Steyer is an investor, environmental activist and Democratic megadonor. He suspended his presidential campaign in February 2020 after placing a distant third in the South Carolina Democratic primary won by Biden.

The Tahoe home is located in a gated neighborhood. The median listing home price in July in Glenbrook was $8.4 million, according to Realtor.com.

The president and first lady Jill Biden plan to spend the week at Lake Tahoe with their family.

  7. Chris Christie making the rounds in Miami. I guess so that he can show them what a Beefalo from New Jersey looks like.

Of note, he has started including Vivek in his "hate everybody more than me so that I will win" routine. As discussed in my interaction with UsualTard, Christie may damage both Trump and DeSantis but those voters he peels off from them are not necessarily going to him. He is worried about peeling off voters, that then go to Vivek and Tim Scott. And he should worry. He is a loser and a fat slob. Worse than that, he is from New Jersey.

Christie on DeSantis: ‘People are really beginning to wonder what the hell he stands for’

“We have this group now, folks like Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump and Vivek Ramaswamy. And these folks who believe in big-government conservatism, if there’s something going on in the country that they don’t personally like, they want the government to pass a law to stop it,” Christie said, adding later that “they want to put more power in the hands of the government.”

You have a hard time keeping up. I had a similar mindset for months: Trump is basically unbeatable so the rest have to sort of stay in the sidelines and hope his criminality brings him down then the B and C list candidates will get their shot. ie someone can slide in last minute and save the day.

Im not of that mindset anymore. I don’t think Trump is going to drop in support unless someone actually takes it away from him. And whether you can see it or not Christie is the only candidate really trying to take support away from Trump.

Now I hear you that Christie isn’t a likable guy. But neither is Trump. Trump won over the Republicans with brute force, simply pummeling whoever was in front of him. So much so the Republican field of “contenders” are scared of him and their fear won’t get them the nomination.

At this point Christie is the only pugilist besides Trump. The rest of these guys are sissy Marys. And that’s why at this point I say if anyone is going to take Trump out it’s Christie.

MAGAtard turned Roncel mad Krispie is ripping his preferred candidate a new one. Which bandwagon will he hitch on next? More to come

Only way Christie gets the nomination is if the RNC rigs it like the DNC does.
