I think the problem is that you and others who put value on physical things think a SHTF is bad for Bitcoin and cryptos but will be a good thing for your physical tulips and cow's milk and gold and silver Perhaps you should go to Kazakhstan or Lebanon or Afghanistan with your tulips or physical gold and see what kind of value you can haggle with those things? You might be surprised to learn that it's not cows you will be milking and your gold and tulips will be taken from you before they slit your throat I said load up on ammos to protect your family and property but doesn't sound like you guys are supportive of guns at all When SHTF, I hope all of you with your gold and tulips like sex coz you guys are f*cked I loaded up on ammos a while back but these posts are reminding me to get more and buy more guns. When SHTF, I'm going to go down shooting and sorry if that's offensive to others who are against guns
And a country boy can survive. (Where's overnight). I'm not against guns. Farm raised, I can hunt, butcher and cut my own meat, grow my own veggies, and could get along quite nicely without power if I had to. Have you really figured out how you would survive when the SHTF?
I hope you have enough to survive while waiting for those plants to produce or you don't get ambushed while hunting I'm loaded up on canned goods, pasta, toiletries, can survive at least 6 months, more than likely a year I have several friends who are gun nuts (at least 2 are LEO's), we've discussed contingencies and a support network if SHTF since we're gonna have to be there for our closest families and loved ones I'm not a hardcore prepper but some of my friends are
I have a lot of water, but always will need more Funny when the stores limited the water for purchase, we kinda were laughing because we were loading up weeks in advance and we've just been adding to our stockpiles anyway so we're on maintenance mode now, always restocking Anyway, deaddog, you seem to be trying to find holes on my setup, and this is no longer a discussion about your valuable tulips, lol Don't worry about me and my family, I got it covered I would say worry about you and your family since your interest is in haggling value for your tulips and growing and hunting foods when SHTF happens, not before
OK I won't. You'll be fine with your guns and ammo and your make believe money. With any luck we won't have to deal with SHTF and I'll be able to enjoy the beauty of my tulip garden. Still don't think it's time to make my first buy in Bitcoin as it's still trending down.
Using straight up TA, this is when you want to buy. So what if it trends down a bit more? So you hang on. Because if it IS the near bottom, then you will be missing out on the discount.
Cool, no one should be wishing for SHTF no matter how much they hate Bitcoin and cryptos At the very least, they should play out the scenarios in their head, and it's not like there's no real-world examples right now (i.e. Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, who knows, Turkey could be next) You get to enjoy your Tulips and we get to enjoy the fruits of our magic internet money Btw, our magic internet money allows us to grab our passports and head to the airport in a few hours and escape to Fiji or anywhere away from conflicts, would not go to Japan, there's some bad history with China that could make that place a target, if you know what I mean Our magic internet money is global if our local hometown situation gets bad, not so good with physical properties, I read somewhere lots of people got trapped in Germany as the situation was developing due to their net worth being tied locally. Also true with Argentina and other failed economies like Lebanon and others We (cryptos believers) preach Bitcoin and cryptos as a hedge and black swan insurance, but ET naysayers make fun of us. We don't want a bleak future but we just want to be prepared On Bitcoin's downtrend, it is possible we are entering a crypto winter (bear market cycle). We're still waiting to see
Different trading styles. I like to buy stuff that's going up. I'll never get the bottom and I'll never sell at the top. If I buy as it drops then I'll just have to sell when it goes lower as my rule is not to hold losing positions in my portfolio. The problem with buying and holding on to a loser is that I have no control on how low it might go or how long it might stay down. I only have control over what I do. I like to be in control.
I'll cast the fishing line out since this could be a slow week as we wait for earnings. I wonder who owns the power plant that supplies the energy needed for those mining machines in El Salvador. Quantum supremacy will be the cause of the next great depression, especially for those who hold magic money. The dollar is backed the economic activity of the US.
