Picklediddler, err i mean futurecurrents.. you are dead wrong. The economic crash isn't on W, no matter who was Pres at the time it would have happened. Economy's boom and bust it is just a cycle. AND IT WAS BILL CLINTON WHO REPEALED GLASS-STEAGALL. This action created the TBTF institutions. As for spending, reality is on pg6 of this thread. Obama is going to spend as much in his 1st term as Bush did in both (approx). You'll say it was necessary but the numbers don't indicate that his stimulus bill did all that much. People who own and operate business's aren't stupid.. when consumers are hurting they cut back and unless they (the business) are selling something essential (and even then to a degree) they are going to cut back themselves as their sales/revenue decline, or in preparation for a decline. No temporary boost in spending is going to stop that. Aside from this obama/dem policies and rhetoric are economically destructive and create uncertainty when it is already abundant. He sucks and really, so do the people who vote for him. If you want to live in a socialist utopia (haha) just move to Europe. They are already fucked, we still have a chance.
