EGO CHALLENGE (26 Sept 2003)

  1. I did + 48 points today per 5 ES contracts ($250.00 X 48 points).

    Trades went as follows for 5 ES;

    Trade #1 + 9.5 pts (1 entry with 3 "adds")

    Trade #2 + 10.25 pts (1 entry with 5 "adds")

    Trade #3 + 2.0 pts (1 entry)

    Trade #4 + 0.75 pts (1 entry)

    Trade #5 + 5.0 pts (1 entry with 1 "adds")

    Trade #6 + 6.75 pts (1 entry with 3 "adds")

    Trade #7 + 10.50 pts (1 entry with 8 "adds")

    Trade #8 + 0.50 pts (1 entry)

    Trade #9 + 1.0 pts (1 entry)

    Trade #10 + 1.75 pts (1 entry)

    Trade #11 + 0.0 pts (1 entry)

I have never done more than +35.5 pts per 5 ES contracts before. This is my new record (no "losers" today helped out). I trade highly discretionary and I usually have very good days. Today was fun, but posting trades with this format does not work well IMO. Monday I will go back to my great home to trade (#FuturesTrades on the MIRC....contact NihabaAshi for details).

    Good Fortunes All!

Wow! Now that's trading! Thanks for showing everyone that it is indeed possible to rack up some serious points.

Wish all the best. You are King Trading Stud.

You just made 12k....so why are you an aircraft mechanic???????

  4. Today I did this mostly to show people what is possible... I have never listened to the "only 2 pts a day" crowd. I just like when people are able to think about the possibilities in trading...not to always be bound by the negative.

I developed 8 separate systems. Each trys to anticipate a form of non-random behavior. I watch the market and try to front run them to improve the performance. They don't have automated entries/exits. Most use daily data so I can form a opinion about the type of trading day it's likely to be before the open. Each system only takes a max. of 1 trade per-day, so they aren't going to help much in this competition.

  6. I will be leaving SWA very soon...I promised my wife I would stay until the end of this year (I made that promise at the beginning of this year), and I will stick to my word. SWA is a great company to work for, and I do only work three nights a week. I have all the days of the week to trade so no time conflict. This was a very extreme day for me (+48 pts), but I usually do very good every week. I have worked at this for 5 years and things have been very good the last 2 years for me. I only have a few months to stick it out at SWA and then I am FREE! :)

  8. AMT4SWA, a BIG THANKS from me! Today has really been an eye-opener for me, and has forced me to re-evaluate my strategy and goals for trading the S&Ps.
