    LOL , naw I think $qeaky be good nickname, LOL

    So you agree you think about making money first and not the process, otherwise all the stress we do each day would be for nada, everyone has stress whether you think so or not when you do it manually oneself, people who tell me they don't, just can't believe that. I don't have stress when it is automated or when others trade for me, just when I trade it, but it not enough to stop me, it is more of excited energy stress, can't wait to start as I expect to prosper.

    I trade in the mornings cause I have other businesses to attend, doctor appts, labs, plus after first 90 minutes volume dries up, I need other peoples volume for concise signals to be accurate. I don't have energy I once did few years ago to keep concentrating either. I don't know how any of this has to do with mitigating it.

    I automate cause I have backtested over 70 systems that generate profits within reasonable drawdowns and I don't have 70 pairs of eyes, although that would be fun.

    I don't have hobbies like most people, everything I do is a hobby if it makes money, how I was raised, so some people do crossword puzzles, to me it is a waste of my time doing that, so I come up with how I might see a different pattern to make money, NOW I have other people to do the back testing.

    I struggle with just getting out of bed, LOL, most of life are struggles to do it the right way. Life is total risk and sitting on the couch is risk as well, heart attack by not doing anything.

    "I've merely shared how one can all but eliminate it - permanently"

    Other than death, I don't believe that at all, but if you can, much hugs/kisses to you.

    "Mano a Mano"? HUH?

    Not even...

    I don't think about winning , at all cause if I am not losing much, rest takes care of it's own.

    "Engaged in / with what exactly - a nameless / faceless / emotionless - entity"

    That's trading, you in your man cave and all I want to do is rob, steal and pillage while I am doing it, neighbors often think I have a sheep or something, but that's for later...

    I won't say I love ya RN, but I respect you and always entertained by your posts and I know you have helped many on how to trade, that is huge plus for newbies and old farts as well, cause when you have stopped learning, most likely you wearing depends and dribbling from the Jello. I think we could enjoy hours of our trading adventures and early times of tears and frustrations. We both struggle in various ways as being human, but in end, guessing we pretty happy in end result.

    RN, You are one of a kind and always look forward to reading your posts.

    No..., I trade for money - but am not a slave to it

    I am a slave to the process

    ===========================

    No worries..., and you're not alone

    I am at a place extremely few know about - let alone experienced

    Though occasionally someone will chime in and say they've just experience a phenomena..., where their trading just happened..., no stress...., no thought..., no nothing - simply one with the mkt - trading as the mkt moved

    And oh how they would like to recreate that

    Their phenomena - is my every day

    ===============================

    I'm at peace with mine - and you know the %

    =============================

    Not losing - is winning

    Granted it could mean break even - but I doubt that in your case

    ==============

    As we all are - which is why there more ways to trade than I care to count

    =============

    I know you can't

    Then..., and I think you would agree - there are also those who can't believe trading successfully is possible

    They can't either - but..., you know differently

    I am just too dumb to think about the process, am broken in a way, have no fight in me any more, market always wins and I am a slave to my Trading Plan. The game is just numbers, some moments of reoccurring patterns and other times they last longer.

    RN, if you were to trade 100 times more volume, would you still feel carefree? or would your "happy place" be disrupted?

    When my volume goes way down, I have no stress, matter of fact it is so low I rather not even trade.

    I would probably fall asleep if I was that peaceful.

    How long is a piece of string

    I don't know.., and any answer I give would only be conjecture

    What I will say: no matter the volume - I will remain focused on the process

    It all I know

    ==================

    Side note

    Trading 100X volume - simply entering / exiting would become a bitch

    example - 5,000 share position..., now a 500,000 share position

    mkt order out..., even multiples would not be effective

    I'd need to have limits spread from here to Georgia

    That in itself would be stressful

    My goal is always to simplify..., never over complicate

    Why I peel off regular and invest it in the necessities

    I have

    I have noticed last couple months I have developed a "twitch" in my index finger and couple weeks ago, I thought I hit the mouse once to hit asks that were more than enough of my order, and few seconds later I saw that 95% of my order was not filled and was now in Globex as a limit which is very strange for me as I normally just hit the volume and I know when I hit the ask there was like 4 times the volume. So finally I did get all the order in, now I am concentrating like I always do, and market is going down to 9 ticks and I hit bid, now I am use to hearing "zero lots left" but I don't hear that, I looked at platform and I have way over what I thought I had left and I know price never got filled of add=ons, then I looked at time of when I hit the mouse to hit asks and rapidly hit mouse four times. I have gotten use to bigger numbers so it wasn't upsetting, but now I have to watch that I don't twitch myself and forget they are on. Never had this problem before, another reason getting older is a bitch.

    Continuing on the same note, here is a musician talking about improvisation. The parallells to discretionary trading can be found in almost every sentence.

    He speaks in a very clear manner and is present in the moment. Enjoy.

    "...improv is what you do with the information that is coming in to all of your senses at this moment..."

    Said incoming information must first be read / deciphered / interpreted / extrapolated (or what ever term one chooses) - prior to the improving (doing)

    And (specific to trading) - there lies a vast chasm of opportunity to interleave one's..., let's call it humanness - (biases / wants / fears / ego / whatever) - before any action taken

    The interpretation step is what jacks many traders up

    Someone needs to invent a shit filter - so we're able to filter out all our baggage

    :)

  10. When I stay within myself, everything goes good. As long as I am playing what sounds good to me everything goes good. But when I start thinking about how they are judging me, like I have judged so many others, everything falls apart. That's why they say, "Judge not that ye be not judged."
