Education of a speculator

  1. I'm almost 26.. I started trading full time when I was 22 and right after coollege.. but even then, I am getting out done by chumps who never went to college. (read: JMow)...

  2. Go to college. Major in finance. Take statistics, math, etc. When you are finished, see if you can get on at one of the large brokers in the trading department. Later you can go out on your own if you want to then. There's plenty of time when you're 18, or 21.

    yep, kudos to those who encourage the college route, how many high school drop-outs become super star traders later in life? Its all on probability , do some research and you'll find out.

    I wanted to be a local too couple years back, but I never did give up on my college education while swing trading index futures and fx by the line. I just graduated with a major in Finance and got a job in a bulge bracket investment Bank - best of both worlds.
