Homosexuality is not genetic nor is anyone born gay. Nor born obese ( there is some linkage to genetics, though far from being the only variable). Both of those are mostly choices, informed by someone's past and environmental experiences.
Are you suggesting obesity is not an issue in this country? When fat people were shamed in the 50s,60s,or 70s, look how the average person looked like. Now contrast this with all sorts of excuses for fat folks. Almost the entire population is dangerously obese. It's called sugar and carb additiction and those folks are 99% to blame themselves. It does not appear to me that @Innervoice spoke against blacks in generalized terms. I am also against black who open their hands but otherwise want nothing to do with taking responsibility in this country. People deserve respect and support who do their utter best and act responsibly. Someone who forks entire cakes into their hole and people who constantly beg for handouts but otherwise show everyone the middle finger don't deserve our support or empathy.
Incorrect. I have a Sister who is unfortunately morebly obese. Fitness freak when young. Illness struck, she can't eat certain foods, can't do a lot of activity, weight gain ensued, now needs new knees. A sad tale. Sort of agree about the Gay thing. But some people are born with hormonal problems. Agree with you about skin colour though. Skin colour is certainly a choice, right. As is the parents your born to.
What a ridiculous story. My grandma is lying in bed all day and does not gain weight. Nor do millions in their 20s or 30s or 40s worldwide who fall ill and can't move for prolonged periods of time. Its simple math. Carbs and sugars in vs carbs spent. If someone can't move they obviously need to reduce their diet. I never suggested skin color is a choice. That's a cheap shot. What I can tell you though about skin color is hundreds of thousands of dirt poor Asians come to the US or Canada every single year and by huge majority work hard and climb up the ladder. Not blacks though by majority. Why is that so? Care to enlighten?
Well shitlips, when your digestive system is pretty messed up you can gain weight from anything, especially when you can't eat a lot of fibre. If she could she'd probably out run you, out swim you, out everything else you, fitness was her life until she got sick. She's also obviously smarter than you too.
You are singling out an extreme example to excuse the poor selfish choices of millions? Is this how you approach statistics? Regarding her former activity level, given your quick judgement about my intelligence makes me question your comments about her athletic former state as well. It does not change the fact though, that you attempt to use an extreme example to justify the self inflicted condition of millions others. By the way, fibers have literally nothing whatsoever to do with obesity. Obesity occurs over time when you consume more calories than your body burns. It's really that simple.
You were saying Obesity is a choice. For some it maybe for some it isn't. Bit like homosexuality I suspect. You mentioned in another thread that you're female. Not sure if your joking or not, but you come across at times as the bitchiest female south of the North Pole.
Omg, please don't melt because someone may have included your poor little sis. Everyone in this forum speaks in generalized terms when discussing large topics and statistics. No one insinuates that every single obese person on earth is responsible for their appearance and subsequent health issues. I also never suggested that obesity is a choice. But for the majority it is their selfish lifestyle that leads to obesity, something they are directly responsible for.
You stated obesity is a choice. For some it may be, for some it isn't. You also stated homosexuality is a choice. For some it maybe for some it isn't.
