  1. Remeber as much as everone love to bash the US, you dont see Americans stowing away in wheel wells to get to another country for a better life. Ya we have our moments like any other nation, but given all that's wrong with our country...would you want to live and raise a family anywhere else.

P.S. I dont think you can day Tehran stock mkt through IB

  3. My point is that we have no idea from one day to the next who would/could be in control of nukes that are fielded in Iran....that is NOT reassuring or stable for the region (bordered with Pakistan...a nuke country).

Pakistans nukes....the US military is in the loop with the security of the known (key word) weapons after the second attempt on the life of Musharraf.

BTW, I have enjoyed this thread..........thanks for all the input from everyone.....the good, the bad, and the ugly! :D

  4. That is the price to be paid for continuing to refuse normal diplomatic relations and for running one of the worst intelligence services on the planet. Ultimately, it's not even that important, as we have plenty of evidence that the corridors of power in Iran are filled with people who very much like to stay alive.

So says Musharaf, the same guy who sold the technology to North Korea while getting all warm and cozy with Congress. There is zero US control of the Pakistani nuclear arsenal, and in case of a coup, it would go to less than zero as any American prescence near the "points of interest" would be seen as actively hostile.

It is only a matter of time before Musharaf is taken out, at which point the entire US policy post-911 while officially achieve "0 for" status: failure to achieve any kind of meaningful stability in Afghanistan, failure to deal with Bin Laden/Al Queda, and an incredible failure to do something useful with Iraq.

Well, I for one am glad that we are at least entertaining the idea of attacking Iran, assuming this story is true.

Any of you that think this (i.e. mideast problem) is about oil and/or Israel are naive at best. It's about idealogy. One that says all "infidels" (i.e. non believers) must die. These people are fanatical in their belief. They don't even value their own life, you think they would give a damn about a few million westeners?

I say we give them an ultimatem. Give up the nukes or we take em out. Period.

  6. According to your own earlier statement, that attitude makes you a fanatic.

    Period.

  8. First we hade CBS Rathergate. Now we have CNN NewYorkerGate. Liberals are a bunch of sorry losers. They keep grabbing for straws that sink them.

  9. Random Cap.... actually Musharraf does NOT openly admit we are in the loop, that would be a bad internal political move for him. I will chose to leave this subject to rest....you know what you know and ..........................................................

SethArb.....I can assure you there are already terrorists dying in numerous places of the world every week. Soft targets go easy in the night.....better this way before they get to famous.

  10. Of course not. Those "assurances" would be made privately. But it doesn't matter, even if he wasn't lying about it, his Life Clock is at Red 7 and flashing.
