  1. You can take it as you prefer.

  2. I am sure you are....Perhaps you should consider an alternate career path. I don't think that you are effective at the job, because your job duties conflict with your moral sympathies. Continuing to work in this capacity is a disservice to your country.

  3. Your quote.....

"Oh, by the way, I am a lieutenant-colonel in the army. Anti-terrorist & intervention units".

Very interesting that you did not CAPITALIZE the words Lieutenant Colonel and Army. As an ex 1st Cavalry Division soldier, I find this very interesting and I will keep my opinion of this observation to myself.

  7. it seems that bad guys that use religion as a pretext to violence seem to be able to stay out of harms way...

i don't see bin laden on a horse with a sabre coming at us...

take a poor ghetto child... arab or american and promise him glory and when he or she is dead oh well ... theres more...

the us has a slow fuse in regards to the rest of the world killing our citizens and trying to undermine freedom from tyranny whether religious or otherwise.....

if they push us too far.... say a nuclear attack on u.s. soil... what piece of the middle east should we turn the sand into glass...and then say whose next....

does a u.s. flag have to fly over mecca to stop this insanity...

human nature is a constant battle between the haves and the have nots....

maybe we should let the people decide their own fate... free elections and get rid of the crazies...

its been a zoo for centuries... what do you say we wait till the end of january and reevaluate

  8. Hitler rose to power playing with the hatred and fear of his population.
What is Bush doing that is so different???

If history can teach us anything it's that a bad man can highjack a democracy and make it invade the world for his own private selfishness. And all this rising legetimatly to power and manipulating the media, telling lies and making people affraid.

Cause if the population isn't scared of anything, the government as nothing to protect it from, the government has no power! That's the basics, true since the dawn of time.

Now everybody is looking throughout the world for this to happen again and forget to look in their own backyard!

Where there no terrorists during the cold war? Is it really a new phenomenon? Cause we never heard about it before. How a coincidence that a new ennemy rose when the previous one collapsed.

Would 9/11 have happened under Clinton watch? Seriously?

I saw 9/11 as a declaration of war. Why then didn't they try to attack again and again?? It IS a war. If attacking the US can be so easy, why as there been no other ATTEMPTS?? Not failled attempts, no attempts at all!

If YOU were a terrorist, wouldn't you keep the surprise effect to get the White House first and aim for the towers later?

What's the false alert / terrorists attack ratio now?

Anybody can make a link between 9/11 and the burning of the german parliament by Hitler himself? He blamed it on communist terrorists and got more popular than ever and used it to consolidate his power after that event.

At least Hitler took a bankrupt country to make it a superpower. Bush took a superpower and is turning it to bankruptcy.

What the rest of the civilized world thought in secret on that sad morning: "Well they had it coming."

Kill one american we'll kill 10000 of your men. Is that your moto?

"I'll give you your war!" -Linden Johnson. Yet in the media at this time the official version was the Viets attacked firsts. Read history books about this war, what is happening now is a clone!

No religion killed more people than the religion of Christ! Most of the muslim hatred toward us comes from the middle ages. We kicked serious asses!

No causes created more war than religious causes.

Anybody tried having NO religion??? When you know that there is no god and no afterlife, you know that death is the WORST thing ever! You don't wish it to anybody even your worst enemy!

I won't die for my country. There is no one son of a bitch on earth that is worth MY life. It's mine. If everybody told that to himself we would have peace.

  9. It's typically why in my country the army isn't a bunch of professionals...but of citizens (up to a few exceptions).

  10. We don't capitalize the word 'army' or our 'rank'. Excepted if it is used at the beginning of a sentence or as a signature. Moreover, we always use the abbreviation : lt col.

For sure there must be a few cases of 'proud of themselves' people who think they can use capitalized letters for their rank...
