Its unfortunate one has to be at ECHO a certain period of time before he can get increased leverage.

I wonder what the time frame is?

It happens to be that when I was at Echo I had 100 to 1 from day 1. In my personal situation I had a track record and a style that called for it

Anyone care to offer up an outline of Echo rates. I understand there are variables that lead to a structure but assuming 100k shares a day and 10k P&L per month.

100% and how much per trade or per 1k shares?

80% and how much per trade or per 1k shares ?

    Thanks

  6. Just remember that Echo isn't a paying sponsor at this site. I know several of their traders and they are reluctant to posts for that reason.

From what i know, IBs volume rates (unbundled) are a pretty good upper bound on what you pay at Echo. Plus you get the leverage.

So at IB commish unbundled are:

    < = 300,000 shs a month rate of $.0035

That's good. Would expect a higher rate if trader is not trading at least 1000 shs a trade??

  9. I was given 30-1/5-1 right off the bat, without having to negotiate.

Maybe the 10-1/2-1 is a false rumor, or it only applies to a small handful of specific traders with unconventional deals?
I've been with Echo for four years, and this is the first I've ever heard of any Echo traders being given such low leverage.

  10. Been there for a year and a half. Happy with my rates, comparable to IB. I started off at 30:1 and they've worked with me for certain strategies that required more.

Rarely carry overnights, but I think it's 10:1.

I trade remote so I missed the strippers too.

I'm not a big fan of Sterling, that's my only gripe. It's adequate for manual trading but the API sucks and it's definitely kept me from doing more volume at Echo.
