I'm currently researching getting a fecal transplant (or similar gut biome treatment) as I'm not the same man I was prior to late 2021 when I had a routine transesophageal echocardiogram. I got the worst infection in my head, totally blocked up and the three heavy duty antibiotics I took seem to have knocked my gut out of order. I have always been calm when faced with a real problem and but this last year dealing with Ukraine stuff, I've felt less me and more normal people relatively speaking with response to stress. The oats and stuff have helped, yogurts but I think I have to go ahead with the biome stuff. It requires genetic testing to find a suitable donor* but the difficult part is knowing what I had in my gut before that made just a bit different? Anyway, I'm glad I have taken my diet more seriously. *they say the donor's poo bacteria flora needs to be fairly similar and the donor's genetic factors also or else my immune system will go to war with the new cells. Even literally eating sh1t is so complicated
Yes "overnight oats" as some call it - delicious too. I tend to go with that over summer, and porridge during the winter. Usually topped with blueberries and or raspberries, or strawberries. Even just writing about it would usually make my mouth water but on this occasion the effect has been neutralised by Bugenhagen's missive on sh!t.
Sorry to hear about your issue. I’ve heard about fecal transplants, but know next to nothing about them. And I certainly didn’t know that if you were to choose an inappropriate donor you would potentially run into some serious medical issues. So if you decide to go that route, good luck, be sure to tread lightly, and keep us posted. And if we ever see you with a shit-eating grin, we’ll know it went well.
I'm pretty sure like with a blood transfusion they do some work ups to find a match for the person, but nothing is perfect as always. On another note, I read an article recently where if you are able to be a donor to the supply you can actually make it a 2nd income. I was shocked by how much they pay for donors, especially since other than those plasma places, blood donations or pretty much just that, a donation.
