Because it is. This thread makes me question life itself:

What is the point of being rich if you can't enjoy the simple pleasures of life such as eating?

Give me poverty and a WHOPPER!!!!

    I don’t mean the IF. I mean the 30 second push-up.
Yes give me a whopper too...but only after 16-18 hours of fasting.

That is a pretty bad article. But basically it says: if you watch what you eat and do high intensity training you will lose weight. (so no fasting required)

    Best line:

"Keep experimenting to find what works for you, but always remember to enjoy the journey. "

So gentlemen, enjoy the journey! Are you all having fun? (OK, I am an ass) :)

so i was near death a few months back from intestinal blockage cause from previous surgeries. i have worked my way down to eating between the hours or 1pm and 5pm the 4 hour window.

i eat two meals during that time slot and nothing else for 20 hours, i find i am not hungry.

i get the urge to eat but it's when i get excited about something, i want some chips or something and then i think am i hungry. no i'm not i just want something as a reward etc.

i have cut down most sodium and with no medication my bp has dropped over 50 points down from near 200. i am well under 140 and have seen under 120 on some days all in about 2 months.

  5. It can be tough to IF and cut down drastically on sodium if you are drinking a lot of water. But if you load up with right foods it should last you as long as you don't stay up late at night. Are you looking for a specific calorie target between 1 and 5PM or just eat until full?

my blood pressure was 190 or so and when i got out of ICU they said rather than go on heart medicine try a low sodium diet. so i am overweight near 200 need to be about 150-60 so i am now 180 since being on the 4 hour fast for less than a month. i have been on low sodium diet for two months.

i eat non processed foods mostly, vegetables, meat, eggs, bread, low sugar fresh prepared stuff. i use dash seasoning instead of salt and jalapeno peppers on everything i can.

so mine was not really a diet to lose weight as much as lower my bp. a friend sent me this video and i figured i would try it, as i have been a grazer all my life thought i would try something different.

i went from being hungry all the time to never being hungry. how weird this is.

ps i don't exercise at all other than getting on a inversion board seldom.

  8. Well the bonus of the diet is that you will also lose weight and lower many other metabolic markers. Depending on your body size/frame and activity level you will be able to get there to your target.

yea man i was reading all your post and i am where i have to start learning about all that calories, fat readings and stuff. i am AMAZED i have gotten this far, i need to exercise badly. i use to bicycle using a small folding single speed bike but where i live now it's impossible. i refuse to go to a gym i always failed at that but bicycling was something i liked.

i'm afraid if try and go to stringent to fast on calories etc i will give up so i eat as much as i want right now and will ty and start cutting portions first and exercise.
