The specific amount that constitutes "too many" fruits can vary based on individual health, diet, and metabolic rate. However, a general guideline is to consume 2 to 3 servings of fruit per day

  2. I’m presently at 5, plus a few small prunes in the morning, and a very small handful of raisins that I include in my trail mix of walnuts and pumpkin seeds in the afternoon. I’m planning on reducing it to 4. Thus far I’ve never had an issue with blood sugar, so I guess I have been lucky. I’m very cautious with the remainder of my diet.

  6. I'm not "dieting" per se. I am just otherwise maintaining a fairly disciplined dietary regimen. My BMI is 22, and I am fairly leaner than average.

  7. My daily milk chocolate is just unsweetened baking cocoa added to skim milk.

I occasionally go on diets because I gain weight very quickly. Sweets are a big problem for me (

  9. I get my sweet fill from the fruit I eat. I have almost no added sugar in anything. I say almost because I sometimes mix a tablespoon or two of cream corn into some of my meals that include hot salsa to round out the taste, and have a very occasional small amount of 85% dark chocolate. I used to like adding a bit of sugar to a strong cup of coffee, but I weaned myself off of it. Now I like the pure bitter blast of strong black coffee. I guess we just get used to whatever we do for a time.

I agree, but sometimes the drop in sugar levels is profoundly felt, especially when I'm out of energy or feeling nervous. In these moments, I find myself reaching for something sweet. In short, there are many situations where I need to control these cravings
