The claims of reversing aging are questionable....So while anti-aging remains poorly defined and hard to measure directly, there is evidence certain lifestyle and diet interventions can quantifiably impact some biological indicators and risk factors linked to aging through well-designed studies. But results have varied and long-term effects on human longevity remain difficult to test.

This lifestyle is unsustainable for most, and a myopic focus on mere longevity overlooks quality of life considerations.....A more balanced approach to health is likely preferable.

Eating healthier, exercising, avoiding alcohol, reducing stress, having good social connections, stimulating your mind, make differences in the lives of others, laughing more, etc. are all compatible with longer, healthier life. But, don't underestimate genetics.

Be careful with overkill on supplements. The more you consume, the higher the risks with contaminants. Estimates vary widely, most research concludes 10-30% of supplements on the market could potentially contain some level of undisclosed and potentially hazardous fillers, heavy metals or microbial contaminants based on randomized testing. The risk may be higher for certain categories and unverified third-party brands.

Why should someone avoid coconut milk ice cream?

Generally speaking, frozen desserts made with coconut milk will be higher in saturated fat. For example, So Delicious' lower-calorie Vanilla Bean coconut milk ice cream still has 6 grams of saturated fat – or close to a third of one's daily limit per serving.

Why should someone avoid commercially-grown sprouts?

Even when grown commercially, sprout growing conditions can support the growth of Salmonella or E. coli. These contaminants can, on only a few days of sprouting, easily multiply to numbers that can make us sick. One possible source of the contamination of sprouts is the seed that is used, due to the very real chance that there are many contaminated seed lots.

I just read some reviews, and apparently, Nature's Wild Berry doesn't work for everyone. And even among those for whom it does work, some find that it will work with certain foods, but not others.

Fruit powders have a large number of vitamins and nutrients, even after the dehydration process. However, the drawback to fruit powders is their high-calorie content. Fresh fruits are high in calories that come from healthy carbs. When fruit is freeze-dried, and the water removed, it becomes much more concentrated as a powder. Since a cup of fruit powder contains more than a cup of its whole food counterpart, eating a serving of fruit powder means you are consuming more calories than if you ate a piece of fruit.

Even though they are high calorie, fruit powders make great substitutes for higher-calorie ingredients such as sugar. And a scoop of fruit powder in a glass of water is a better choice than drinking soda or juice while still giving you beneficial nutrients. So even though fruit powders are calorie-rich, they have an advantage as a healthy alternative for more calorie-dense foods.

One of the best things about fruit powders is their versatility. Since they have no added sugar, sweeteners, preservatives, colors, or flavorings, they are the perfect addition to any dessert, ice cream, smoothie, or sauce. They can replace artificial flavoring in nearly anything, but especially desserts. Add it to yogurt, fresh fruit or vegetable juice, or even oatmeal for a fruity flavor. With fruit powder, the possibilities are endless.

Eating too many fruits can lead to health issues due to their high natural sugar content, potentially causing weight gain and impacting blood sugar levels, especially in individuals with diabetes.

  10. I think the 80/20 applies,perhaps with a goal of 85/15.

Day in day out regimens are difficult to keep at 100.

Youre going to raise a glass here and there, youre going to have a slice of bday cake here and there and youre going to eat pizza after leg day :D.This shouldnt be seen as a failure or a derailment.

Edit to add that I think some foods are so important to get in your system that they are worth pairing with less desirable items to make them palatable.I find it difficult to find a place in my diet for spinach or kale but spinach and feta cheese wood fired pizza is one of my go to's.
