Caution with tallow and lard if consuming regularly ..PCBs, PCCDs, DLCs and other harmful organic compounds accumulate in adipose tissue....Cancer risk.
It's wonderful to have a recipe for weight loss. I'm a big fan of staying fit and healthy (however, I have been very overweight), which means that I try to exercise regularly and eat healthily. Because of this, I've been able to lose 50 pounds thanks to Xenical (you can buy it at Canadian Pharmacy Online), diet, and regular exercise.
Available OTC in US...Marketed as Alli. Can cause a lot of stomach distress...bloating, diarrhea, gas...Not recommended for anyone with gallbladder problems or other digestive diseases.
Strictly a personal perspective... In my experience, "trying" to eat healthily doesn't cut it. I committed to eating healthily a couple of years ago and ended up seeing my abs for the first time since I was nine years old (over 50 years ago), even though I've always been a "thin" guy. I find that people don't even recognize how MUCH they are eating sugar and (empty) carbohydrates...every time they consume orange juice, white rice, white bread, traditional pasta, a soda here, a cookie there, a candy bar, hot potatoes...and on and on it goes. Once I cut out ALL this stuff, I got my six-pack back WITHOUT having to exercise.
......... The Target at Lakewood Shopping Mall had lemon and peach flavored Hint for the first time today. The lemon was interesting because it made foam after being jostled in my bag and was forming bubbles like carbonated drinks as I propped it up after it was sitting on its side. Of course, the more important question is, does it actually taste like lemon, which it did. The peach actually tasted like peaches as well, and was surprisingly refreshing.
Does sourdough bread contain low-quality carbs? Sourdough bread contains less calories and carbohydrates than other breads like for like, because some of the starches and sugars are consumed during the fermentation period.
When I can't make it to Target, I'll buy Winco's Strawberry Blackberry SmartWater, but the last time I was there, they didn't have any. I therefore purchased Propel instead, which I didn't really want to do, because it has sucralose and acesulfame potassium in it. They had three flavors: Berry Peach Kiwi Strawberry Unlike Hint, the drinks were thicker than regular H2O, and the berry didn't really taste like berries to me. As far as I'm concerned, if you're going to add sweeteners, thicken the water, and give it an artificial taste, you might as well go all the way and carbonate it as well. The peach was different however. It actually tasted like peaches and was kind of refreshing. I would put the Kiwi Strawberry in the category of "okay," but I'm not going to buy any of them again because of the sweeteners. (I was just curious to find out what they tasted like.)
Supposedly, the healthiest sources of carbohydrates are unprocessed or minimally processed whole grains, vegetables, fruits and beans, which are said to promote good health by delivering vitamins, minerals, fiber, and a host of important phytonutrients. As it turns out, there are pastas, breads and cereals made from whole grains or legumes that I like better than the processed variety, which was a welcome surprise!
