I heard a podcast where they cited a study that showed most fad diets actually work because they all involve some kind of calorie restriction. However, because people follow them blindly, they stop the diet and then gain all the weight back, which is harmful.

Whatever you do, plan to do it forever. If you can't do it forever find something else you can.

  2. My friend recently started doing keto diet. And he doesn’t shut about it. :wtf: Honestly, I have no clue about it. Can anyone share what is it and whether to start with or not

  3. Nothing extreme lasts. Intermittent fasting doesn't need to be extreme to be effective.

  4. That’s why it is always better to take it slow when it is about fitness & weight loss. And rapid weight loss often takes a toll on our body in the long run.

  5. Agreed! But still everyone’s body is different and will respond differently to diet plans. So, better to not try everything that we see on the internet.

What is the difference between sweet potatoes and yams?

Yams are starchy and have a rough, brown exterior. They can grow up to 45 feet long and are eaten in parts of Latin America, West Africa, the Caribbean, and Asia. Sweet potatoes are a New World root vegetable and have a softer, reddish skin and a creamier, often darker interior.

I can't find the Good & Gather drinks anymore—only hint. I used to drink this stuff instead of soda also...

...but not anymore in that I'm trying to avoid sweeteners altogether, whenever possible. Hint has all kinds of flavors...

...but unfortunately, Target only carries a few, and only a couple of the straight (non-mixed) flavors, which is what I would prefer. Consequently, there's only two flavors they have that I purchase: raspberry and clementine (orange). Winco now has flavored water as well...

...but the strawberry blackberry (yet another blended flavor) tastes weird, and though the cucumber lime does genuinely taste like cucumber, why in the world would I want to drink cucumber water?

I knew I found another grocery store that carries hint, but I couldn't remember which one. When I was deciding where to buy my lunch today, however, I realized it was Lazy Acres Natural Market. They had pineapple hint, so I tried it today, but it tasted more like pineapple candy than a real pineapple.
