as in the chart below. once i got two points -you can choose any two points-i drew a trend line extended it. i then saw that the market was forming an expanding triangle.
you can do anything and everything with trend lines. see chart below understand that market get attracted to trend lines.
trends are easy to recognise but ranges are not because of the many different types of ranges. expanding and contracting triangles, horizontal ranges, channels to name a few
Yes,I read books. Improving my knowledge improved my profitability... Re Market Wizards, there is a trader interviewed who turned $10,000 into $80,000,000.He outlines how he did it...but you wouldn't be interested in that sort of thing would you?
Agree...and to expand on your point: Don't bother aiming!!! Don't spend any time practicing!!! Just point and shoot in the air!!! That's how people become expert marksmen!!
Now you're being totally facetious. Do you remember when I said trendline must be taken under "context"? You can't (or you shouldn't) just draw a trendline anywhere. Best scenario is to consider a trendline with other trendlines, for example, the previous trendline. Then perhaps ask what it's relationship is in terms of momentum.
