"Trade for the acquisition of skills, not the desired outcome...and the results will take care of themselves" the real challenge is finding out the correct skills to develop and then doing the work required. This is one reason why A mentor would be such a huge advantage.
Good Morning zghorner, And Greg was or still is a Million Dollar Trader too from the futures market. You know why? No distractions from Trading Teachers selling books and courses and bullshitting. Believe in self is all that matters.
Good Morning zghorner, I respectfully disagree with you. "Trade for the acquisition of skills, not the desired outcome...and the results will take care of themselves" This a big fat LIE. Trading skills is a made up word and lie sold to newbies to take their money selling courses. I only trade for one thing, MONEY. LOL, if trading skills was needed, we all be rich right? smh. @padutrader biggest problem is, he has too much trading knowledge and "skills", and does not know how to make money everyday.
are your emotional control skills not improved since you began? Execution skills? Are you not better at accepting risk before you put the trade on? It takes zero skill to have a monster trade, i have proven that to myself. but it does take skill to have a consistent equity curve.
Anyone reading this. Please do not misunderstand me. I have no issue at all with Al Brooks. But when I studied Al Brooks, I studied him to make money. That was my only outcome. I did not care what he taught, I only care about how I can make money.
These are all personal skills has nothing to do with making money. There is only one skill needed. And that skill is make money.
Yes I like him. But realize one thing. he is not or did not become rich because of trading skills. I believe trading is 95% mental and 5% skill, and knowing exactly what you want from it.
it is to trade well with skill and not some blind instinct. you should be able to e plain why you took the trade
