like Brooks says i am enjoying my trading. i am not looking at others' journals. like some who do not trade
Well, this is a funny statement... Right after the last 5min bar end new one begin, should I wait or should I start? The market is not made from bars the market is created from flow. Nothing start an nothing ends.
Brooks says to wait for the 5 minute Bar to finish as the Bar can look quite different in the end to what it looks at say the 4.50 minute mark. People watch the clock and try to take a signal before the Bar closes.
But what about the bar that just started after 5min, shell I wait for this bat to? When to wait and when to execute. New bar always start right after previous bar. By this principal I don't know when to pull the trigger.
Brooks uses Candlestick signals. One of them is to immediately buy the opening of the next Candlestick after an Engulfing Candlestick. Therefore he advices to wait for the signal (Engulfing) Candlestick to close, Incase momentum shifts in the final say 30 seconds before it closes and the Engulfing Candlestick becomes a long Wick Candlestick.
I personally believe more in understanding how between 7000 and 32000 contracts are spread within a five-minute bar than 4 points.OHLC.
He can't. He can't say if the tail of the bar contain imbalance or rotation ( for example). Same for the whole bar. But maybe he can.. Who knows.
When Padu was a child his main chore was to feed the goats. Although our family is wealthy and influential l, we decided to pay him in Monopoly money. Little Padu would take his Monopoly money to the convenience store to buy candy. (In India most convenience stores are run by hillbillies from Arkansas.) The owner played along. So when my adult son is earning Monopoly money in the markets, he thinks it's real. I'm sorry Padu.
