it is one thing knowing something but quite another thing to commit to it, in the face of opposite market action. if you overextend yourself by taking too big a position [because you know!] or are undercapitalized, then you are at a huge disadvantage. that is why now after so many months of ES i have shifted to MES. it does not matter how much you know. what matters, is what you DONT know. you have to know one thing after another and that takes time. so asking someone how much money they made every 6 months is idiotic. to become a master, it takes a long time: the exact amount of time, obviously differing from person to person. and you have to be a master just to survive.it may take longer for you to actually turn a profit consistently. and so whoever asks you how much money you made knows shit about trading and i am noticing those persons are becoming fewer by the year
