Hard? it is impossible. you know the past: will that continue or not? what is your objective in trading NEVER FORGET THAT. it is to enter a move that will continue and what will continue? a move that is strong. so far so good. now what is strong? you must answer that question. if you cannot, then find something else to do. if you decide you want to enter how do you do that ?. enter anywhere or wait for it to get weaker -a pb - and then enter. according to traditional TA buy above the high of a bull bar and sell below the low of a bear bar.
IF you are looking to enter a trend. you only enter at a ema if it is steep : rising buy falling sell if it is flat.sell high buy low scalp. or watch Netflix be warned this is Brooks: i have heard it said he is fraud and idiot who has never traded the main reason people hate trading is because not only do they have to take and make decisions but also be accountable for that action
that is the purpose of the ma. IF you are looking to enter a trend then, according to Brooks and a thousand others: you only enter at a ema if it is steep: rising buy falling sell if it is flat. Sell high buy low scalp. or watch Netflix so stay in present. and trade what is happening not what might happen be warned this is Brooks: i have heard it said he is fraud and idiot who has never traded the main reason people hate trading is because not only do they have to take and make decisions but also be accountable for that action.
I thought I already explained all that in real time. Take a look here. Everything starts from this post (and the next 15-ish posts): https://www.elitetrader.com/et/posts/5890033/
what is a weak move? any, move which has a lot of overlapping bars/swings. ranges are a weak move within a stronger one. but they also can be trending -strong or weak. channels, patterns, all have trends ranges within them, if they are big enough to accommodate them. these minor trend or minor ranges end within the bigger range or pattern
a trend may get weaker, as it progresses, broadening, which is basically forming a range or overlapping bars/legs/swings. a trend also may take off into a climatic end.
bar counting is useful to get into any move :trend or range. if it is in a range or weak trend or strong trend it will provide entry into that ongoing market condition. if there is weak trend or range then H1H2L1L2 etc will give you an entry into that market condition which is weak trend/range
