i am doing it that way because even though Brooks say do not scalp it conforms totally to his basic tenet of teaching. high probability trade, stop entry, which is definite and consistent [a second entry]and exit ,which is fixed:3-4 ticks in ES a lovely strategy if you want to make money to live :making a living, as opposed to making a killing or getting rich Last edited: A moment ago
Target profit is 3 to 4 ticks. STOP is probably 1 to 2 ticks. so your Reward: Risk ratio is about 2:1. You are now a HIGH FREQUENCY TRADER !!!!! Congrats on being promoted to A HFT. BUT!!! Is Mr. Al Broke a High-Frequency trader?
you got your math wrong, my friend for scalping you need high probability for high probability you need high risk /large stop. i personally use 12 ticks.
second entry trading and scalping for 3-4 ticks mostly -1,2 contracts and 3 trades with 4 contracts not bad
what is context? what traders did in the past. they do not change until pain forces them to change so expect a repetition of their deeds. this has been human behavior, and it will not change.
