I see MUSA and ICGE were bought this morning by RS and GOOG respectively. I can't find any stats on this but what are your opinions on this observation: There are many more M&A announcements during earnigns seasons. Do you agree with that? If that's true, is there a reason?
1) You generally expect to see "bigger" mergers when the broad market is in multi-year, high territory. 2) The timing of the deals with respect to earnings season is random. Don't "read" anything into "it".
