Well Illini...you seem to have come a long...long...way. But the Gauntlet now requires 1/10th the drawdown for the micros....JUST KIDDING! If I could survive the Gauntlet as well as you have...I would be happy. I find the Gauntlet to be the benchmark of criteria for good trading whether you are Retail or Prop. The transition could be permanent...almost like a sex change hehe Good Trading to you! ES P.S. I hope that you can trade retail with the micros per 25k...then someday reach the emini level with 250K. It may go faster than you think. I hope you keep in touch if you go retail.
Ryan, I love ya but if you are going to answer in a foreign language just say you do not want to answer.
Ya, It might be fun to start a Journal as a little guy talking about winning or losing $20 in a day and discussing the daily thinking and trades. Des and some other guys will make total fun of it but what the heck.
I am going to wait to join the Gauntlet and trade the MES at TradoVate with my limited funds. The MES has opened up a new opportunity for me to test my system with real money. I may never go professional as I am discovering that retail brokers do not open accounts to professionals and they vigorously enforce it. Even if you pay the $105.00/Mo. ES
Plenty will open an account, just not discount brokerages like AMP, unless things there have changed.
So AMP is 0.74 RT "ALL IN" for the MES But add 0.10 per side for CQG (multicharts is free) ES P.S. Tradovate is $1.12RT "ALL IN" (Free charts)
Both discount brokerages catered to retail traders. Brokerages for professional traders do charge more. Ironbeam, the brokerage Helios clears with, does not discount micros. Helios should hear back next week on another possibility to lower micro fees and I'll keep you guys posted.
yes, electricsavant is wrong. for AMP with CQG order routing, it is $0.74/RT all-in, including the $0.10 CQG order routing fee.
