You should investigate putting your focus into the psycho thing more than getting funded or your strategy, at this stage. Hiding yourself under the sand about this topic, will not help in the long term even if you have an edge.
working on psychology thats why Im even taking these combines the goal isnt to get funded its to successfully complete without violating the basic test of "have i lost to much for the day?" if the answer is yes then stop trading.
Hey Ryan, I'm currently doing the Gauntlet and it's going pretty well. I'm using Sierrachart and I am having issues with the Rithmic feed during high volume periods, such as the first 2 hours of the US session. For details, this is the support thread I created on the Sierrachart support board: https://www.sierrachart.com/SupportBoard.php?ThreadID=41129 The Sierrachart engineering team have been frustrated with CTS and Rithmic integration for quite some time now (to quote SC: "The connectivity Sierra Chart has to Rithmic is substandard and messy. We do not like it.") so they created their own futures routing service in partnership with TT integrated with their own SC datafeed. For details, look here -> https://www.sierrachart.com/SupportBoard.php?ThreadID=40462 My questions are: After passing the Gauntlet and trading live, 1) Would you be willing to allow SC users use the new SC futures routing service with SC's own datafeed? 2) if not, are we allowed to use CQG for our datafeed and order routing? CTS and Rithmic are riddled with problems wrt SC integration and TT feed doesn't have accurate bid/ask volume data. CQG works great though.
Hey Canoe - I would take this up with Rithmic, have you contacted them? While I cannot speak to Rithmic or other platform issues, what I do know is we have a large volume of users and I personally use Rithmic for my own personal and CTA trading and have yet to experience any issues (I also use Sierra) other than Sierra occasionally reconnecting (while my other Rithmic connected platforms stay connected). Regarding your questions, I'll have to check with the Helios FCM and I'll report back once I hear.
Alright thanks. Looking forward to hear back from you. Haven't contacted Rithmic yet b/c I had a feeling they would just redirect me to SC support. It's not a truly big deal for the evaluation but if I do go live with real money, I definitely want to eliminate any hiccups. SC does support using their SC datafeed with other order routing services, such as Rithmic and CQG, where the data comes from SC and only orders are routed through the trading service. But if I do this for your funded account, I would probably have to still pay for the Rithmic feed (in addition to the SC feed) right? as a sidenote, I think the Gauntlet is the fairest futures evaluator out there and would like to thank you guys for providing such an awesome service and support. definitely feel like E2T actually cares about supporting traders instead of just collecting reset or monthly evaluation fees through all kinds of restrictive rules.
I wouldn't think you'd have to pay for Rithmic data if it's just placing orders.. But that's the first time anyone has asked so I'm not quite sure honestly. You might want to contact Rithmic/SC about that.
I use SierraChart with Rithmic and it drops the feed and reconnects once or twice a day. RTPro doesn't. Sure seems like a SierraChart issue to me.
