Earn 2 Trade the gauntlet

Discussion in 'Prop Firms' started by caacapital, Jun 25, 2018.

  1. There are some "natural" traders that can trade so well (they are at the top of their game) that they do not need training wheels. They use order flow for entries and exits not brackets. This can be shared but to learn it simply requires scree time (10,000 hrs).

I do not move my stop bracket ever...regardless what order flow is saying. It might even cause me to set a wider stop for all trades rather than the "living" method.

My training wheels also set a breakeven stop (yes Rithmic has everything that TT has). My trade literally is automated unless I catch an impulse and move my stop more in the money as the price moves in my favor. I use living order flow for my step follow technique. I can set my target at key areas that I cannot discuss or use my stop to get me out. So my brackets can be moved...just not a widening stop.

Traders I suggest you get into a more living environment and study all that you can about order flow and DOM reading.

After 10,000 hours of screen time I will be among the best I am convinced of that as my first experience with order flow was from a trader that was at the top of his game...I truly lost when I told him what I did. What was I thinking? I believe that nobody wishes me ill-will. There are other traders (I put 2 of them on ignore and blocked them in ET and their phone #'s today) that are distracting me and even questioning my competence to other traders that I know but I am doing something proactive about it...I have ignore and block. The nice thing about trading and your peers is that results do the talking. I know that other traders can come to the Gauntlet before and after me that bank double triple...etc compared to me. I envy them and know I can eventually with time get as good as them. My results are my proof, revenge and competence.

But it's over and lets move forward drama-free! ok? Let it go and do not post further on the subject.

  8. I made 12 trades starting at midnight (mst) with 9 winners and 2 losers. I am up $106.32 after commish. I think I will stop for today and not even attempt to trade after the open. The feeling of giving this back would make me feel bad. I would rather bask in my small win today.

  10. Good decision, make a few ticks and then go and enjoy your life. Get really consistent with this, so you can size up. With 20 contracts or more, this is good money.
Average a few ticks a day, limit your working hours, know when to stop for the day, slowly increase your clip size... thats a good way to play this game.
